Date: 2016-05-09 06:33 pm (UTC)the character i least understand: Joyce's motivations were often pretty baffling to me in the high school years, she seemed to often be written as generic mom that doesn't understand her teenage daughter, rather than a fully dimensional character in her own right. I still don't really get why she was soo harsh on Buffy in Bad Eggs for being in a different part of the school after the ~gas leak~ Nor do I get why she apparently expected Buffy to take care of everything single-handedly in the event of her death, "promise me that you'll love her like I love you", and didn't make any alternative arrangements for Buffy to get any help with raising Dawn
interactions i enjoyed the most: It's hard to narrow it down to just one, but I guess Buffy and Spike were always interactions that I looked forward too. Buffy and Faith scenes were also stand-outs for me, but really I could list nearly any of the character interactions from Bts as favourites *g*
the character who scares me the most: Warren, the trio always felt like a scarily close to real life example of human villains. It was a bit perplexing actually when the show then choose to turn Andrew into a comic relief character after that. His response to them getting away with murder in season 6 was pretty disturbing, and then it seemed like the tone shifted completely when he came back in season 7
the character who is mostly like me: A mixture of Tara and Anya
hottest looks character: Spike
one thing i dislike about my fave character: Buffy did have a tendency to be self-absorbed
one thing i like about my hated character: Xander was always loyal to his friends when it counted
a quote or scene that haunts me: The first one that comes to mind is Buffy's, "Mommy" when she discovers Joyce's body :(
a death that left me indifferent: Erm I'm not sure really, I wasn't particularly attached to Jenny or Joyce's character, but all of the character deaths were handled so affectively that it was hard to really feel indifferent to any of them. I guess that Anya's death was probably the most underwhelming? Yeah they wanted it to be realistic and in the heat of battle, but I felt like Joss could have spend a bit more time on her death scene still after she'd been a major character for the last four years
a character i wish died but didn’t: Lol well I was never particularly fond of Riley or Kennedy, but I'm not sure that it would have added to the narrative much to kill them off. I'd say Xander actually, I think that season 7 could have been really powerful if he was killed and The First took on his form all year, it would have definitely upped the stakes
my ship that never sailed: Well younger me used to root for Giles/Joyce and Xander/Willow, but in retrospect those pairings were way too obvious and wouldn't have worked at all lol. Otherwise I was mostly invested in the canon pairings

the character who scares me the most: Ooh lots of scary one-off villains, but the one that sticks out the most is the one where people are lobotomised and their eyes are removed :chills:
the character who is mostly like me: Will definitely, I relate to him a lot. That's probably not a good thing mind you :P
hottest looks character: Hannibal
one thing i dislike about my fave character: Not a fan of how Hannibal treated Alana! I always liked the professional respect vibe they had between them in season 1, along with the undercurrent of flirtation. I was disappointed with how it ultimately ended for them
one thing i like about my hated character: I can't think of anything redeeming about Mason, sorry :P Maybe that he did have the occasional funny line
a quote or scene that haunts me: The final embrace between Hannibal and Will haunts me in a good way :D
a death that left me indifferent: I mean I wouldn't say indifferent exactly, but Beverly's death didn't devastate me the way that it apparently did the rest of fandom? It was sad though
a character i wish died but didn’t: Eh I don't know, Chilton probably deserved a mercy killing in the end, his final moments were a little much
my ship that never sailed: Well not that it never sailed, but I wish the show had spend a LOT more time on Alana and Margot's early relationship. They only had the one scene together before they became a couple :(

the character who is mostly like me: I share certain traits with some of the characters, but I don't think I'm that much like any of them

one thing i dislike about my fave character: I mean there's probably a ton to dislike about Lex, he was a very flawed character, but lol my mind is totally drawing a blank on anything that was a deal-breaker for me. The experimentation on human subjects wasn't good though :P
one thing i like about my hated character: Jonathon was always very devoted to his family
a quote or scene that haunts me: I don't know about haunts, but I found some of the Lex and Lionel scenes very tough to watch in Shattered/Asylum, they still stick out in my mind definitely. That ECT scene :(
a death that left me indifferent: I guess Lex because apparently it was supposed to turn out that Oliver really did kill him in that season 8 episode, even though I think that we all assumed at the time that it was a decoy/fake-out? But then the cloned Lex turned up for the finale...

the character who is mostly like me: None of them are much like me tbh.
hottest looks character: Emily
one thing i dislike about my fave character: Aria was too quick to overlook Ezra lying to her and manipulating her from the beginning. It seemed like all was forgiven almost as soon as he took a bullet for them, but one heroic action hardly justified Aria getting straight back into that relationship
one thing i like about my hated character: Toby does have a good body

a death that left me indifferent: Hmm probably the cousin who Emily killed (was his name Nate?) I mean all due respect, but I couldn't really connect to how cut up Emily was about killing him after he had murdered her girlfriend and was trying to kill her. It was probably a very true to life response to taking a life, but I just felt like she should have had a lot less of an ethical struggle after what he did to Maya, so I was surprised at how much time the show spend on her guilt
a character i wish died but didn’t: None come to mind. I guess you could argue that Allison and Mona's return from the dead did take away from the impact of killing them, but there's so many more stories to tell with those characters that I'd say it was definitely the right call to bring them back
my ship that never sailed: I do get frustrated with how set the show is on all the season 1 couples as being endgame, and how quick the writers are to assure the viewers that there's nothing to worry about. I felt like adult Caleb and Spencer were a better much than Haleb. Haleb were a really cute couple when they were in high school, but I just don't see why they ALL have to end up staying together forever

the character who scares me the most: Hmm I can't think of any villain that's really scared me from TVD. I guess maybe Elijah in his first appearance?

one thing i like about my hated character: I liked that Julian died when he did, that made me very happy :P
a quote or scene that haunts me: Eh I don't know, there are probably lots if I go through each season, but none that immediately come to mind. I will always remember the first intro of present-day Katherine in the season 1 finale though
a death that left me indifferent: A lot of the deaths on TVD didn't stick in the end, but the actual death scenes were generally well-handed at the time, so I can't say that I was indifferent to any of them from what I remember. I suppose that the death of Beau was a bit underwhelming, I never understood what they were trying to do with that character
a character i wish died but didn’t: I think that Jeremy should have stayed dead, he really didn't end that much to seasons 5 and 6 that it was worth taking away the impact of his death
my ship that never sailed: This is a fairly recent ship of mine, but Damon/Bonnie have started to draw me in! It's a shame that the writers seem stuck on keeping Damon devoted to Elena, even though there's not much story to be told there when they don't have the actress any more

one thing i dislike about my fave character: Santanico is my fav, and honestly I can't think of anything that I would change about her *g*

a death that left me indifferent: I wouldn't say that I was indifferent exactly, but Narciso's didn't exactly make me cry! :P
a character i wish died but didn’t: Urgh Sex Machine, I hate how the writers apparently find him so hilarious for the comic relief, he should have been killed off ages ago!
my ship that never sailed: I'm not really a hardcore shipper for any of the couples on From Dusk Till Dawn, but maybe Seth/Santanico would make for an interesting coupling in season 3

one thing i dislike about my fave character: Cordelia was very status orientated
one thing i like about my hated character: Angel could be pretty funny at times
a quote or scene that haunts me: I guess the first that come to mind is Fred's death. Oh and the phone call when Angel finds out about Cordelia's death
a death that left me indifferent: Can't think of any, Doyle, Cordelia, and Fred's death were all very powerful
a character i wish died but didn’t: Eh I don't know, maybe Eve?
my ship that never sailed: Gunn/Cordelia had a lot of chemistry in First Impressions, I always thought it was a shame that the show didn't explore that more.

a character i wish died but didn’t: I wouldn't have killed her lol, but I really didn't get the point of Parker's character in season 3, I definitely wouldn't have made her a regular if it was down to me. I didn't particularly dislike her or anything, but both she and Piz seemed like such typically bland college characters for a Noir show
my ship that never sailed: Veronica and Weevil! They had a lot of chemistry in season 1 especially, that could have been fun to explore

the character who is mostly like me: Maybe Lindsey? Lol I'm finding this question really tough to answer in nearly all of my fandoms, it's making me realise how little I actually see myself in tv characters
hottest looks character: Ryan, Marissa, Summer
one thing i dislike about my fave character: Ryan could be a bit too paternalistic at times
one thing i like about my hated character: Deep down Jimmy really did love Marissa, even if he was the world's worst father. (Heh I remember reading an interview with Tate Donovan where he talked about discussing with the producers that okay so clearly he's playing a terrible father, and they were taken-aback and arguing with him that no Jimmy's meant to be a really well-meaning guy, so he felt vindicated when people online were all agreeing on what a terrible father Jimmy was)
a quote or scene that haunts me: Ryan carrying Marissa after her O.D, Ryan hugging Sandy for the first time after Trey leaves town (I just love that moment!) Marissa's death, Ryan's final moments in the finale bringing everything full circle etc etc. Really The O.C as a show had a ton of haunting scenes and was very good at putting together iconic moments, even if they did have to resort to too much filler the rest of the time
a death that left me indifferent: None, Marissa and Caleb's deaths were both pretty powerful and well-done
a character i wish died but didn’t: Didn't want her killed off as such, but I'd have been just as happy if Theresa had never appeared in the show, what a boring character
my ship that never sailed: Well not that it never sailed, but I wish that they had handled Ryan/Taylor a bit differently towards the end, I hated how they introduced the triangle with that French guy :(

one thing i dislike about my fave character: Nikita could be a bit frustrating at times with her tendency to push her loved ones away and go it alone, although I always understand where it was coming from of course
one thing i like about my hated character: Jaden did have her moments when she was working with Alex on a mission
a quote or scene that haunts me: Nikita breaking the handcuffs and escaping division, Alex's killing in "Alexandra", and Percy's death are the immediate ones that I thought of
a death that left me indifferent: Sean. I could just never care that much about his character
a character i wish died but didn’t: Hmm I can't think of any, Nikita was always very brave about killing off characters that weren't working out, or knowing when to write out a character like Percy at the right time
my ship that never sailed: Nikita/Owen was always a ship that I thought had a lot of sparks, athough I shipped Mikita too of course. Nikita/Owen probably wouldn't have worked in canon as a romance, but I still enjoyed their friendship and was sad at how little they had to do with one another after he reverted to Sam :(
