Okay. *o*
My questions are:

10. which TV show has the best musical soundtrack, in your opinion?
19. if you could write your own TV show, what would it be like?

36. I am starting to prefer shorter seasons, and it feels like the format that more and more television will adopt as we move more to streaming and getting new shows released all the time, as oppposed to needing the same shows to last last year-round. It’s strange how quickly you can get out of the habit of something really, because like most people I’ve certainly been used to watching shows of 22 episodes or more in the past, but they almost feel like a relic from another time now when it comes to binge-watching them. I’m sad to say I’ve had that problem with Supernatural a little bit when trying to catch up with a season in one go, for me the filler episodes really hurt the overall arc when you’re watching a season in its entirety. Of course that’s not to say that one-off episode plots don’t have their appeal, when it’s something special that they're putting together then yes by all means, but all all too often you’re impatiently sitting through these crappy filler instalments that are clearly just there to make up numbers

For me I find that it’s really just sitcoms where I’m happy to sit through 22 episodes or more, otherwise I find that in most cases you can get a much better show with 16 episodes or less in a season

37. Actually I don’t think that there is really? At least I assume the question is referring to brand new shows being released that I’m excited for? I seemed to have more upcoming shows that I was excited for last year, I was very hyped for Sharp Objects for example because it was based on a book I already loved, plus it involved the director from Big Little Lies, but I can’t really think of anything new that I’m particularly excited about at the moment. There are some returning shows that I’m very much looking forward too though, particularly Killing Eve, Big Little Lies, Peaky Blinders, and Veronica Mars (idk, maybe the Veronica Mara revival counts as new?)

I enjoy both, but yes I agree with you not all filler episodes are worth it. I do notice as I am watching Hawaii five o now, with long seasons that I skip both epsiodes and scenes within episodes I do watch. And I prefer not waiting a week between episodes and that does work better with short seasons, and as you say the story can be much more well written and handled when the focus can be put solely on that story.

I don't have any new shows on my radar either at the moment, but I am often bad at keeping up with what is coming. As with you I look forward to the return of shows: Victoria and Call the midwife are two such shows.

It feels to me like longer seasons really work best with the old style of television where you’re just getting a new episode to enjoy every week, and not picking it apart too much. But yeah when I’m binge-watching I often find myself skipping certain episodes, and it really standing out to me which episodes just feel a bit pointless and not contributing much to the overall season. It doesn’t have to just be about advancing the seasonal arc either, character work is important too of course, but there are some fillers episodes that really do neither, and those do tend to stand out to me when you’re binge watching an entire season one after the other

10. This might be a strange answer, but I think Breaking Bad has one of my favourite soundtracks actually! It doesn’t seem like the first show that you’d pick for music, but well they had some really memorable sequences edited to music, and they seemed to know the peerfect song to choose each time.

I also really enjoyed the soundtrack for Big Little Lies

And 19 is answered a few comments above :)
