Date: 2017-01-19 11:31 am (UTC)I like Buffy because of how heroic she is, how she's always trying to do the right thing and putting everyone else first
I dislike Buffy because sometimes she does have a tendency to be self-righteous
Favourite season is tough to narrow down, but I'd say probably season 5? Or season 2 maybe? It's hard to narrow that one down!
Ditto on favourite episode. I can't go with just one I don't think lol, Prophecy Girl, Becoming and Chosen are the first that come to mind
Hmm favourite line is maybe, 'She saved the world. A lot.' That pretty much sums up her character I'd say!
One of the Buffy outfits that always really stands out is her blue coat from Becoming, love love love the visual there when she comes running in. But really she wears some great clothes in every season pretty much, I also love the red leather pants from Graduation Day
And I'm sure it won't shock anyone when I say that Spufffy are my OTP
I'm not sure if this is the right answer for Brotp, but I think I'd say Faith actually. I really loved that whole dynamic between them, and the actresses had great chemistry
Not sure if this is still an unpopular opinion or not, but I thought they handled Buffy's depression arc in season 6 really well, well other than attempting to wrap it up too quickly in the end anyway. But I really related to how much Buffy struggled with being an ~adult~ in her early 20's, how she trying to find the right job when she didn't have a clue what she wanted to do, and I thought there were some great episodes in that time
Not character related exactly, but I guess my wish would be that we get to see Buffy in HD (done properly) for the 20th anniversary coming up
A Buffy/Xander pairing should never EVER happen :P
Will Graham
Date: 2017-01-19 11:52 am (UTC)I dislike Will because of how he set Chilton up, that was tough to watch
Erm I'm not sure which my favourite season would be for Will actually, I guess that he was the most interesting to me in season 3 when they took him to a darker place with Hannibal? Also season 2 though when he was torn between his bond with Hannibal, and doing the right thing (and wanting to kill Hannibal in the beginning/fearing that he was becoming Hannibal).. And then season 1 when he's dealing with his guilt over killing Abigail's father, and slowly going insane because of his brain disease (the name of which I forget right now). Basically I love him in every season, they always had a lot of interesting character stuff for him
I can't really think of a favourite episode at the moment, it's been a while since I've seen them all, I'm due for a complete series re-watch this year. Right now I'd say probably the series 3 finale is the one that sticks out in my mind for his character, although I'm not sure that that's the most flattering portrayal of him lol
Favourite line is, 'Is Hannibal in love with me?' :P
Honestly I never really notice Will's outfit, so I'm just gonna say the straight jacket and biting mask scene was the most memorable visual for him there
Do you even have to ask who my OTP are? :P
My Brotp are also Will/Hannibal
I'm not sure if this is an unpopular opinion, but I disagree with a lot of the assumptions being made after the finale. It seemed like a lot of people jumped to the belief that the show was setting up ~murder husbands~, and that Will and Hannibal were going to kill Belinda together, but I didn't get that from it at all? Will appreciated the beauty in killing the red dragon, aka a serial killer, but I never felt like that meant that he was going to start killing indiscriminately with Hannibal
My wish would be for another season or a mini-series, and that it's focused entirely on Will and Hannibal's story. Recently I've been hearing whispers that Bryan Fuller is interested in doing his version of SotL, but honestly I feel like we've already seen that. This also falls under unpopular opinion I guess, but while I did think that the Red Dragon storyline was well-done, that was one part of the show that didn't excite me because I'd already seen so many of the story beats in the film. I'm more invested in the show as a prequel, and seeing them do something new with Hannibal and Will's relationship. It's not as interesting for me to go over ground that's already been covered before
I don't want Will to start butchering innocent people with Hannibal. It's an interesting idea for fan fic maybe, but canon Will Graham would never

Date: 2017-01-19 12:20 pm (UTC)I guess I disliked how she let Daisy push her around in the beginning, it got a bit frustrating to watch (although I do love Daisy!)
Favourite season for Georgia would probably be the first one, it had the most interesting plots for her adjusting to her new life, although I liked her in both seasons
Favourite episode for Georgia would be the pilot I think, she was another character where I instantly related to her lack of direction after high school
Honestly a favourite line isn't coming to mind right now, although I'm sure I'd have tons if I could think of them. It's just been years since I last watched DLM
Same with favourite outfit, although none of Georgia's outfits ever stood out to me that much anyway
I didn't have an OTP for Georgia, I know that a lot of the fandom shipped her with Mason, but I always liked Mason/Daisy
For Brotp erm I always enjoyed her scenes with Rube and with Delores, although neither of those probably count as a Brotp in the least lol. Well maybe her and Delores would, I always liked what a close team they became at Happy Times
One unpopular opinion is that I didn't entirely hate the movie. Most of the character work with the ensemble cast was awful and out of character, and there was no longer any chemistry between the Grim Reapers, but I did really like the scenes between Georgia and Reggie.
I can't really think of any wishes, I was happy with how the movie ended with the post-its raining down on Georgia, I thought that wrapped it all up nicely. It was just sad what the movie did to Mason, Daisy, and Roxy :(
Like I said, I wasn't a fan of Mason/Georgia and wouldn't want to ever see that pairing, they always felt more like brother/sister to me

Date: 2017-01-19 02:35 pm (UTC)I like Frank because he brings an interesting perspective to season 2 with his debates with Matt
I dislike Frank because I don't buy some of his rationale, like when they have him claim that he's such a good shot that no innocent person was in any danger in the hospital shooting, there's no way for anyone to be 100% confident of that as far as I'm concerned. His obsession with vengeance is a turn-off for me quite honestly, I more share Daredevil's POV on that
Favourite season for him is n/a, he's only been in the one!
Favourite episode would be the one in the prison where he takes everyone out, that was very memorable
Hmm I guess his line to Matt about how when he hits them, they stay down.
He looks good in black :P
And it's not an OTP of mine, but I did really like his dynamic with Karen, I could ship it
I don't have a Brotop for Frank
An unpopular opinion of mine would probably be that, while I did enjoy watching Frank's character, Fisk from season 1 was actually my favourite antoganist
Erm I'd like to see them explore Frank and Karen more I guess
And I can't think of any please don't ever happen scenario's at the moment

Date: 2017-01-19 02:49 pm (UTC)I disliked Sam at times when he was on demon blood, he seemed to lose a lot of sensitivity around that time when it came to handling a Dean with PTSD
I can't really think of one favourite season for Sam, I think that season 4 was probably the most interesting time for his character though
Favourite Sam episodes would include Mystery Spot, Bad Day At Black Rock, Born Under A Bad Sign, and After School Special
Favourite line Oh gosh I don't know, how about, "I lost my shoe" :P I love Sam's pouty expression when he says that heh
I don't really notice Sam's outfit, anytime Sam is shirtless is a plus for me though. Those boys war too many layers!
I don't have an OTP for sam
Brotp is Sam and Dean duh
An unpopular opinion is that I nearly always side with Sam when it comes to Sam and Dean's conflicts, I can always relate more to Sam's frustration at wanting his own independence, while at the same time wanting Dean to understand that that doesn't mean that he loves his brother any less
I guess my wish would be that I would like the show to end on some kind of happy ending for Sam and Dean, it feels like they've earned it after all this time!
I can't really think of something I don't want to happen, maybe a reconciliation with Amelia lol, that relationship was a bit of a mess

Date: 2017-01-19 03:01 pm (UTC)I dislike Gwen for her tendency to take Rhys for granted, and how she would make flirtatious comments to Jack about how she married Rhys because "no one else would have me"
Favourite season for Gwen was Children Of Earth
Favourite episode was the season 1 finale, I loved her whole confrontation with Jack after she finds Rhys dead
Favourite line:
Favourite outfit: I can't think of any at the moment
It's not an OTP or anything, but I always liked her with Rhys
I don't have a Brotp for Gwen, I don't remember her and Tosh ever seeming to bond that much
I have no idea if this is unpopular or not, but I really didn't like the Owen and Gwen affair. IMO she could have done a lot better for herself, and then in season 2 it felt like the show had practically forgotten that it ever happened anyway. It all seemed a bit pointless to me
I don't have any wishes for Gwen I don't think, although it would be interesting to get a continuation for TW sometime, and find out what she's doing with hersaelf these days
And I really don't want Jack/Gwen to happen, they are my anti OTP I'm afraid, I always felt like the show was really forcing their UST and encouraging the audience to ship it

Date: 2017-01-19 03:11 pm (UTC)I dislike Xander because of his attitude to the women in his life, he could be very judgemental in a way that he had no right to be, especially considering that he was in his own relationship with a former vengeance demon who had a lot of blood on her hands
Favourite season for Xander would probably be season 7, there wasn't as much of him that year, but it did feel like he had grown up finally and was becoming less judgemental
Favourite Xander-centric episode would be Bewitched Bewildered And Bothered actually, although it doesn't show him in a good light to put it mildly lol, but it's one of the more fun Xander episodes.
I know that Xander has tons of funny quotes, but none are really standing out to me at the moment I'm afraid
Favourite Xander outfit would be the swimming trunks in Go Fish!
I always liked Xander/Cordelia together, I used to find them a lot of fun in season 2 especially
Xander didn't really have many guy friends, so I guess my Brotp for him would be Willow
And unpopular opinion would be that I think that Xander gets a lot of unfair hate in fandom, especially with the younger fans on tumblr. No he wasn't always perfect, and yes he absolutely could be an entitled "nice guy", but all the fans acting like him and Willow are the scum of the earth are a bit much.
I dunno what wish I have for Xander really, it would have been nice if him and Anya could have worked things out towards the end of season 7, but there's not much chance of that now!
I never want to see Xander paired up with either Buffy or Dawn

Date: 2017-01-19 03:23 pm (UTC)I dislike Giles because he did let Buffy down in season 6 to just take off in the way that he did, and he never really acknowledged that
Favourite season for Giles would probably be season 4, it was interesting seeing him try and adjust to no longer being the librarian and official watcher
Favourite Giles episode would be A New Man
Maybe his joke about American football in Some Assembley Required lol
Favourite Giles outfit would probably be when he started wearing sweaters in season 4, it was nice to see him out of tweed. Ooh though I did also like his more formal outfit in Tabula Rasa
I don't really have an OTP for Giles, I have unpopular opinions on him and Jenny
My Brotp for Giles was Ethan, it was a shame that he just disappeared after season 4
Unpopular opinion would be that I didn't care for Giles/Jenny. I know it was supposed to be an adorable opposites attract dynamic with the young hip teacher teasing the old fuddy-duddy, but I thought that Jenny was actually pretty rude and dismissive at times. Like when she makes out that she ruined a first edition of his book, then jokes that she was just trying to see him squirm, or when she says that he's like something from a previous century because he likes books more than computers. I felt like a lot of those little put-downs disguised as flirtation would only have made Giles feel even more out of a place and a relic from another age, and I dunno something about them just rubbed me the wrong way.
And it's hard to think of a wish for a show that's over, but I guess I hope that he does eventually manage to find someone and starts feeling like he has a life
I never want Giles to do anything to betray Buffy again, Helpless was enough for me

Date: 2017-01-19 03:51 pm (UTC)What always gets me is the elaborate back stories people are willing to create for side characters, no matter how bad. Yet Xander is worse.

Date: 2017-01-19 04:56 pm (UTC)(no subject)
Date: 2017-01-19 05:39 pm (UTC)My frustration with them was always more about what I felt were lapses in the narrative than them as people. In some ways I think the writers were a little unfair that they oft used Xander to kind of gaslight the audience like in Dead Man's Party or Into the Woods. Like Dawn, I get why the dislike is there but it's one thing to dislike a character, it's another to spin every single thing negatively.
fandom loves to talk about how she's twice the hero that Xander and Willow ever were
Pfft, yes. The whole there-should-have-been-a-crossover-so-the-Scoobs-can-be-awed-by-Cordy's-awesomeness thing makes my eyes roll.

Date: 2017-01-19 05:48 pm (UTC)+1 I didn't care for Jenny at all, honestly. I don't know if it was the actress or what, but I never warmed up to her.
