Yep! I was wondering if they might just release them unexpectedly, but I definitely prefer knowing in advance and being able to make plans for what I'm going to be doing that day :D

I've never seen Gilmore Girls but I think it's a show I would enjoy. Someday I will binge watch them all!

I never finished the show...not sure when I stopped either, but this me remember it fondly. I might tune in for this <3 not sure if I will bother to catch up...

I'm planning on a re-watch before the show comes back, it should be really nostalgic to revisit the characters after all this time :)

I need to finish my watch/rewatch. I'm on S4, E4 right now. I can totally do this by the time the new stuff comes out in Nov. :D

I was always thinking that I must have a re-watch before it comes back, so it was a little bit frustrating not knowing when the date would be, now that we do know I can make sure to catch up with some of it in time for the revivial. I'll probably just watch seasons 1-5 though tbh, I skipped season 7 and most of season 6 on my last re-watch. I just caught up to when Lorelei and Rory made-up in season 6, and then I didn't want to go any further :P

Awww, this brings all the nostalgia and also it's just so surreal that we have RORY AND LORELAI back with us, doing their regular back and forth banter and it feels so good. :)

Yep! It always makes me happy to catch up with characters again years later, this project reminds me of the Veronica Mars movie :)

Thanks for the link :) Hmm I'm not sure how I feel about waiting until 2018 for a new series of Daredevil :( I was expecting them to be able to easily manage to film a few of those shows simultaneously, as they all have different writers and production crews, so I'm guessing it's down to Netflix not wanting to invest in more than two a year?

I agree that they definitely should release their new shows first, but it is frustrating for someone who is only a fan of one show like say DD or JJ, to have to wait for two years apparently for more

I just rewatched the series recently and even the LL stuff in s6/7 was less painful this time around. It all kind of flowed. Certain behaviors I disliked, but you could kind of see it all coming. There is just so much I love about the show and I'd forgotten that over the last few years.

I must admit that I've only ever watched seasons 6 and 7 in full the once, on my last re-watch I quit in season 6 after Lorelei and Rory were reunited, then skipped straight to the finale. I just remember finding season 6 suuuch a downer first time around, Luke's attitude especially was a real low point for me, especially in the Valentines episode. I should probably give it another go when I do this years re-watch I guess, if nothing else I'm a sucker for Logan and Rory's relationship, so I'll probably miss out on a lot of cute scenes if I don't go past season 5!

The back half of s6 is interesting for RL and LL. Mostly cause I think it reveals inherent character flaws that exist with Lorelai and Luke individually and shoves it in your face. I found Luke was acting silly and self-conscious. But, I guess a part of me kind of understood him. Lorelai had more problems with because she just shut her mouth and sat there and I never understood this passivity of hers. But, I also think that they were building towards a fall from grace for Luke since he'd been pretty much amazing in the relationship up to that point. Lorelai had no problem putting them on indefinite hold when she was fighting with Lorelai but she couldn't or wouldn't give him that same space in regards to Lorelai. It's not that I thought he handled it well. He was careless and had a one track mind. But, I think what he needed was for Lorelai to be insistent that if he was in this, he needed to be in this which included having a say with April. But, LL have always been the King and Queen of miscommunication. I still get annoyed with the finale in terms of them and especially with S7.
