I used to watch Doctor Who, Vampire Diaries and Big Bang Theory.
But not anymore, which is why I didn't pick those.

I didn't tick TVD because I stopped watching it last year, I didn't tick X-Files because I stopped watching it at some unknown point (~5 seasons in) and I didn't tick SPN, Nikita and Smallville because I've only seen 1 season (2 for SV).

I did debate whether I should put X-Files under old favourites or currently airing shows actually, but I figured it counts as currently airing as there's a good possibility of getting another mini-series at some point. But honestly I never finished the original series either, although I do hope up with it all at some point!

And it really is worth catching up with the rest of Nikita when you have time btw, love that show! :D

I have been a bit underwhelmed this season tbh, but still I think it's a shame how online fandom has turned on it and decided that it's just terrible in every way, and this has been going on since seasons 3 pretty much. I assumed it was a show that almost everyone in fandom had dropped by now, so I'm actually quite surprised that there's more than a few people still watching

I'm caught up with SPN up to season 9 and plan to see the rest at some point, but I must admit that it's not really a must-watch for me any more. It's not even an issue of quality I don't think, it's more that I just felt like it was running out of things to say. It felt like every season was circling around similar issues with the brothers trust issues, Crowley, the Angels etc, it started to get old.

It's a shame because season 4 was such a breath of fresh air at the time when it introduced that mythology, but after a certain number of years it just gets hard to still stay invested in that same stuff I suppose, unless the writers are doing something to drastically change the status quo

Lol I have been surprised with some of the results, it feels like some of the apparently most-watched shows really aren't reflected in how much discussion of them I see on my flist, or how many comments I get when I talk about those shows. I never realised how many fans of Gilmore Girls and Queer As Folk I had friended for one, although I suppose it's harder to tell in the case of past shows, just because no one is talking about them much anyway.

And I'm not really caught up on SPN these days, but definitely there are always quite a few people talking about it on my flist (ditto Buffy and Doctor Who), so that one didn't surprise me as much

Currently I watch Doctor Who and Supernatural but I have not seen the last season of Doctor Who yet - just accessibility issue.

I watched Buffy, Dawson's Creek, Gilmore Girls, Farscape (love it so much), Dollhouse, Queer as Folk - both UK and US, and Veronica Mars. Buffy, Dawson's Creek and Farscape are closer to my fangirl heart, although I quite enjoyed Dollhouse as well.

Awesome, we share tons of shows! I was thinking mostly of the US version of QAF I suppose lol (Brian/Justin <3 ), but I did enjoy the UK version as well. Vince and his DW geekishness was so adorable

I keep thinking of having a re-watch for shows like Buffy, Dawson's Creek, Dollhouse, and Farscape (all close to my heart as well!), it's just finding the time when I have so much else to catch up on... I also want to rewatch all seven seasons of Gilmore Girls before the revival is released, but we'll see how that goes lol

We only share two current shows (Pretty Little Liars and Supernatural), but I plan to check out Daredevil and Empire at some point so that might change soon :)

I was such huge Queer as Folk (US) fan a few years ago! Mostly because of Brian/Justin ♥ They're still one of my favorite OTPs :)

Aww me too, I'm bummed that I missed the fandom heyday for that show, but happily there are still quite a lot of Brian/Justin videos being uploaded on YouTube even now :D I wish that I could find more fan fic for them though :(

And I only started watching Empire very recently, I'm just caught up on the first season so far. It is a bit of a soap opera I suppose lol, but the characters are really fun

From: [personal profile] angelus2hot
I've only watched Doctor Who with Nine. I love the Ninth Doctor.

I absolutely adored The Vampire Diaries until Nina(Elena) left the show. It took forever for me to like Damon/Elena and since she's gone I don't have any interest now without that dynamic anymore. I'm not interested in seeing Damon with anyone else...

The Ninth Doctor was one of my favs too :)

And TVD has definitely been a bit rough this year, disappointing after I really enjoyed season 6 and it felt like a return to form, but the Heretics just weren't interesting enough characters (well other than Lily anyway), and even the intrigue of the flash-forwards didn't end up panning out to much. I'm still remaining hopeful for season 8 though *g* I felt like they introduced too many characters this year with the Heretics because they were panicking after losing Elena, Jeremy, and Tyler

I'm always amazed at how little love there is for Breaking Bad on lj, considering it was one of the most critically acclaimed show of recent times. I adore it, just as I'm enjoying Better Call Saul, and yet hardly anyone seems to talk about it.

I'm tempted to say maybe it's because it has no sexy male leads in them.

I should have probably listed Better Caul Saul in what I'm currently watching actually, but I wasn't sure if I should as I'm still not caught up on season 2. I'm planning on watching it at some point, but honestly it never really became a must-watch for me in the way that BB did. I think that I was most excited in the early episodes with the Tuco connection to BB lol, but then everything with the Kettleman's was a bit too slow-paced for me, and I just wasn't finding myself rushing to watch it. It definitely had its moments though, especially in the scenes with Jimmy and Chuck

And I'm surprised that BB isn't discussed here more too, but I suppose that the biggest shows for fandom tend to lean more towards Sci Fi, so that could be part of why it doesn't have a bigger fandom?

I really need to get into Daredevil. I have heard great things about it, especially in the latest season with Elektra (who I am already in love with having seen the gifsets and the like).

I've always had an on/off relationship with Doctor Who. It really depends on the actors and the direction. I loved Nine, but I gave up during Ten, I came back for Eleven but stopped after Amy and Rory left (although I did see Clara's introduction, found her adorable), and I haven't seen anything after that since, and this was mostly my disappointment and frustration with Moffat. I may return if the new showrunner proves to be decent and treats the characters properly, but that is a huge if.

And I gave up on Pretty Little Liars during S6B. The mid-season finale left me feeling disappointed, and the mid-season premiere just didn't interest me that much (and I was so upset about the death of the one character). And then learning about the character relationships getting messed with, I decided that I was officially done with the show. Which I never thought would happen since, through all its ridiculousness I still stuck by it, but I guess there is a limit to everything.

Elektra is pretty awesome! I really need to find some icons with her, but you never see much with her character for some reason with season 2 Daredevil icons :(

And it feels like PLL lost the magic when they did the time-jump, they really should have wrapped it up with six seasons after high school ended. I actually don't mind the new relationship (although not so thrilled with recent developments there!), but the show really does feel tired and out of ideas at this point. I will still keep watching though :sighs: I just really hope that they wrap up everything properly with the finale, really not here for the latest whispers that the show could go on for yet another year while missing some of the main cast :(

I really would like to be watching more shows, but my schedule is so weird that I just let things pile up. The only shows I'm current on are Crazy Ex Girlfriend and Last Week Tonight and Game of Thrones when it's back. I don't know how I let so much TV slide away. I'm planning to get a treadmill (next week!) and use shows to bribe myself to use it.

I watched the original Doctor Who (Fourth Doctor!) and New Who beginning with Nine until part way through Eleven. I thought the quality of the writing diminished greatly.

There are so many shows I've watched enthusiastically for a couple of years and then broken up with abruptly, usually over the dismal fate of a female character I'd become attached to.

I'm not currently watching SPN, but I'm still very involved and invested in the first ten seasons, and I do suspect that I will watch S11 someday. I'm just not motivated to do so at this time.

ETA: Oh, and I missed TVD on the list! I don't love TVD, but I am gradually working my way through the early seasons. I quite enjoy the occasional episode, but the show really annoys me if I watch too much of it at one time, and I strangely don't care about the characters, like, at all.

I'm the same way with SPN, I would like to watch the later seasons at some point out of sentimental attachment to Sam and Dean, but it's definitely not a must-watch for me any more

And lol I enjoy TVD more than you do it sounds like, but I do know what you mean about it annoying you if you watch too much of it, the sense of morality when it came to the main cast was always very skewed

That's an interesting idea.

I didn't tick Empire, since I decided to drop it after I've read what happens in the new episodes, but I'll keep reading spoilers for a while to see how the season ends. Then I'll decide if I want to catch up with it or not.

And I didn't tick the X-Files only becausae I had no time to check out the new season yet.

I still haven't started watching S2 of iZombie (as I said, not much time for all the shows), but now it's finished, so I can binge-watch it. I miss Ravi and Major a lot.

I quit SPN after S6. It got too long for me, really. But It's been so long since I thought about Nip/Tuck! And yay for Qaf :) It's great to see both on your list.

Now that I saw Dollhouse on your list I remembered that I stopped watching it and never finished.
