I'm been thinking more and more about buying a kindle, I was just wondering if anyone has any info on how easy it is to transfer fan fic into a kindle? And this might be an odd question, but can you then divide them into categories? Part of what I like about LJ memories is that I can store fic as angst, AU etc, and keep the same types of fic grouped together.

I think it's for the newer Kindles, but I read somewhere (probably on the Amazon forum) that the older models can be updated via software - but I don't know how true that is.

On my Kindle you can create folders via the menu button. There should be a 'Create New Collection' in the menu list, which can then be named (for example 'fanfic'). It's then fairly straightforward to add your uploaded files into the collection. It's a great feature and has worked very well so far!
