Name a fandom, and I'll give you at least three of my unpopular opinions related to that fandom.

I liked Lana, too! And I also shipped Lexana - immediately after their first shared scene together.

You have great taste clearly :D I always thought that Lexana was a relationship with a lot of promise, and IMO Lana's character got really interesting once seasons 5 and 6 came around and they started experimenting more with dark Lana. And that was a direct result of Lexana. But you wouldn't believe how horrified some people were at my shipping Lexana...

And dark Lana had so much potential in early season 7, only for the writers to then back off from that in favour of doing nothing with her other than being stuck at the farm and offering a few supportive words to Clark. And then finally what they did to her in Veritas which was just disgusting IMO. I was even kind of happy with season 8 Lana originally as it was nice to see her being kickass again, but of course they then had to take it too far the other way and have Lana be as strong and capable as Clark in just a few months compared to the years it took Clark to get where he was, and then she was even the one to talk Clark back from killing *sighs*



And it seemed that everyone slashed Clex back in season 1 (at least everyone that I knew *g*) so that's how I was introduced to them in fandom. But by the end of the series I definitely no longer viewed them as slashy so much as a really interesting love/hate relationship in episodes like Nemesis and Descent. The subtext kind of died after season 1, I don't know maybe the producers caught on to the fun that fandom was having with Clex so they stepped in and told MR less of the lingering looks like you want to eat the guy :P
