I was actually expecting seasons 2 and 3 to be far in the lead, so it's cool to see how well season 4 is doing. I do absolutely love the earth stories, as well as Prayer and Bad Timing. And it had my Scorpy/Sikozu ship! Plus I think I may be the only person who thinks Coup By Clam is hilarious *g*
I just remember it as having a few more clunkers than season 3, and not liking the writing of Aeryn as much, so I didn't choose it as a favourite. But then, thinking about it, season 2 had some really dire episodes as well, but the good outweights everything for me in that season. So I really need to rewatch season 4, and decide where it does fall in my rank of favourites.
Plus I think I may be the only person who thinks Coup By Clam is hilarious *g*
I found it enjoyable, if only to see Crichton dressed as one of the ugliest woman I've ever seen.
I've been quite lucky, as I have a local station that airs Farscape episodes on the weekends, and a couple weeks ago start season 4, so it's a bit fresh in my mind. And with Aeryn, she's just so absent in the first third of the season.
But really? Season 3 was one of beauty, seriously. It was a spectacularly tight season, with one or two episodes ranking as best TV I've ever seen.
Oh I know! Scratch N Sniff, Incubator, Revenging Angel, Different Destinations, the episode where Aeryn struggles over John's deaht (can't believe I forgot the name!!! Was it The Choice).
Aeryn's response to Zhann's death just kills me. And then the plot with her mother *sniffs*
The J/A arc being allowed to play out. And then "was it easy to be a hero, to leave me behind" *sobs*
"Talyn, starbust!" *collapses into weepy heap*
I love angst, so season 3 really was the dream season for me *g* Eat Me rocked as well for pure horror. There really were hardly any bad episodes, even Meltdown made up for the Stark plot by having J/A going at it to cheezy porn music. And Aeryn laughing in Crais's face when he started shouting. ROTFLMAO!
Oh and I *heart* Sark, don't care how annoying people find him. His reaction to Zhann's death with the wailing :/ And then his moment in Different Destinations aww. "Fear is good, keep that. But travel light. Forget hate"
John trying to hypnotise Sark, "Work now, freak later". "How much later?" His double act with Rygel. When he tries stiching Rygel up, and sews into his clothes! "Friend or foe, friend or foe?" "Of course it's a foe, we have no friends!".
And when he has his creepier moments. The "you're very pretty" moment with Aeryn, would love to have seen that explored more. And his rant to Jool. Umm how did it go. I think it was, "You are unworthy of entry to this ship of horror. Ah you want to cry young creature? I will show you something that will make you cry forever".
I never really warmed to Jool (didn't hate her either, she could be occasionally funny but I never felt that strongly about her character). Still loved, "Everything I have seen so far is despicable!" And the music playing as John slaps his bum (Mmm) "Welcome to the Federation SS Buttcrack!"
Yeah, that was "The Choice". *sobs to herself for a moment*

And they did the angst so well. And came up with such a way to believeably keep Aeryn and John apart at the end of the season because hey, she's lost him once!
I loved The Choice! They did such an awesome job with the look of that episode. And Claudia was utterly amazing. When she confronts Crais and Sark I get chills. And then Rygel talking to her. Aww, it was a great season for Rygel. I loved his scheming with Scorpuis later on as well. And his bravery against the Charids (sp?)
The only downside to season 3 was I don't think they gave Chiana that much to do. But then she had an amazing season with season 4, so it all worked out. Season 4 also has more Braca, and Sikozu in its favour. Love Braca torturing Scorpy in the beginning. And then Scorpuis kissing him in Kansas (I was totally unspoiled and squealing). Then Braca's little look at Scorpuis during the riot, "Feel the love Mr Burns!" And Sikozu kissing Scorpuis for the first time melts me everytime. Ooh plus Braca watching S/S in Bad Timing, and I'm chanting threesome in my head *sighs*
Luckily, Claudia hardly ever let us down with her acting choices. Season 3 was standout for her though. But yeah, when they split the crews up, they really didn't have much for Chiana. I think this was the only show where I didn't dislike any of the main characters, hell, I even adored Rygel!
And it had some of the best ongoing enemies, I don't mean the one episode ones, I mean Crais, Scory, and them. They were fantastic.

There was that, and Farscape did have a thing for relationships. It was fabulous.
