I brought the new SFX today. More fun with A&M

Crusade was a big success. They really lucked out with Erica. A very cool interpretation of Lois. She sparks with Clark. A huge achievement for the season. And there's a quick thing with Erica agreing that Lois is "a fantastic character" and she says Crusade is her favourite episode. There was also a quick thing with KK saying Gone and Devoted were her favourite episodes because Alison does such a great job.

Gone wasn't a success. The metal boy was a mixtake. The Clark/Lois scenes were all that worked as a romantic comedy. Next year they will try and wrap everything up in the first episode as the second episode tends to suffer.

Facade was a relatable teen story, overall it didn't work though. They wanted to explore Clark becoming a jock.

Devoted was really fun. Alison was the highlight with cheerleader Chloe. A fluffy fun episode.

Run was a huge success. They had wanted to get the flash since the show started.

Transference was also a success.

Jinx had good casting. But they thought the ending was too comic book when Lex has the room of freaks. "it was sort of scripted and ended up being shot and it seemed like we were tied to it". But they prefer to forget that ever happened.

Spell was a big success. KK did "a wonderful job". Al admits it was "somewhat controversial" and says some people thought the magic was too Charmed, but for him it works.

Bound was a good episode for showing Lex get dark. (Yeah the episode where he basically acts like Joey Tribuini (sp?) does with women and ends by saying he feels such guilt and self-loathing he wants to die. Whatever) We never see Lex as a sexual person, so it was fun to reveal he had a sex life. But basically unmemorable.

Scare was scary and worked well. No comments on Lex's vision changing hmm, just comments on how Clark's vision was really scary.

Unsafe. Great chemistry there and they would have like to play it out over 3 or 4 episodes and not rush the wedding. Clark forgiving and showing compassion is a real Superman trait. Biggest thing in a teenage boys life are sports and girls.

The article also had A&M saying again that season 3 was too sci fi and dark, and they wanted to lighten up the show and get back to human stories. Yes, season 4 allegedly was more about the characters and their relationships.

I suppose I just imagined the first 3 seasons showing Lex interacting with all the cast, as opposed to season 4 just giving him the stupid story about wanting some stones. And I imagined skin and sex being used for superficial ratings.

*bangs their heads together*

*sigh* Of course, Level 33.1 never happened. Anything that is mainly Lex's, never happened. Urgh. Also, Al said it was him and Miles that wanted to forget it happened, right? However, as I recall, Miles mentioned about wanting to bring back Mxy, twice. Oh jeez, just say it was your idea to forget, Al.

Gough says, "I never liked that idea...Neither Miles nor I were particularly high on it"

Nope, just the episode guide.

And I know, right! So he slept with some women and never called them back. That makes him a jerk, not on the path to evil. You'd think he'd raped them along with it.

I saw Bound for the first time the other day and words fail me. I can't believe the writers think that they're describing a descent into Eeevil.
