Liked it. Was a bit of a comic reader in my teens and early twenties, and have several friends who're the die-hard JLA sort, so I quite enjoy the "future" fic.
At Sparklies, I primarily lurk at the spoiler forum - I'm in that part of the world that gets BtVS/Angel a couple of seasons late, and used to lurk (shamelessly) on the FF site for spoilers and reviews. (And a good thing I did, too, because I don't think I could have made it through Season 6 unspoiled!)
This brings me to: hope you're surviving the Angel news - which came so out of left field I'm still in shock! I see the main campaign now is for another network to pick up the show quickly - really hope that happens.
And, sweetie, not like I'm qualified to give you any advice or anything, but I know that when I lived with my parents, it was hard to develop self-esteem under a constant barrage of nagging and (primarily) maternal criticism and belittlement. Things were much better at uni, and after I moved out - sure, I made some pretty questionable choices then, but at least they were *mine*, y'know? And, the old cliche: before you can love someone, you need to love yourself - this is much more easily accomplished when your folks, who often bring their own baggage to the table, are not in the same living space as you and continually telling you, either expressly or implictly, that you're difficult to love. Of course that's easy for me to say; not sure about your current arrangements! But getting a roommate and moving out would seem a worthwhile goal for you. Jehane.
I had my job interview today. I'm hoping once I find a job I'll have enough so that I can afford to move out.
And I'm campaigning to save Angel at the moment. I'm starting to get used to the American networks canceling my favourite shows. The cancellation of Farscape hit me the hardest, especially when the Sci Fi channel in America didn't get the ratings goal we hope for, but the Farscape ratings in the UK shot up. We really needed a 2.0 rating from US viewers and we didn't get it (: Still we're getting a mini-series for Farscape now, and I'm hoping another network will pick Angel up. Either that or a Spike spin-off!
