o a movie (that amazes you - a beautiful movie): When one say 'beautiful movie', I presume one means a romance or a tearjerker or a feel-good movie. I can't recommend sappy movies. I, however, would like to recommend a Japanese comedy called "Welcome Home, Mr McDonald". Tight writing, unique setting, great ensemble. Heaven forbid if Hollywood ever decides to remake it, so get the original. Subtitles don't kill.
o a book (that inspires you, and one you couldn't put down): "When Elephants Weep" - it's a discussion about the possibility of emotions among the so-called "lesser" creatures. It ended up convincing me that humans are no way "higher" than them.
o a musical artist, song, or album: Radiohead.

You should have been around in season 5 when Spike redemptionists were first speaking up and a writer in a chat room told us we were serial killer lovers and go write Jeffrey Dahmar (sp?) Or in season 6 with the attempted rape when the anti Spike people were practically having orgasms over a certain scene and rushing to tell us we were all rapist lovers. And some fans are still getting mileage out of it.
And the scary Xander fans (or the fundies as some of us called them *g*) who thought Spike fans were the devil and Buffy owed it to Xander to shag him. Silveragent who seemed convinced subliminal messages were being send about the sexiness of Spike as compared to his favorite Xander. I remember this parody the Xander/Buffy fans going something like this
"Now Buffy did you give Xander a piece of your sandwich? No? Whore".
And that's not even getting into the Buffy/Angel shipping wars with the Buffy/Spike shippers.
The crazy is dying now. Sort off lol. But in its heyday it was scary. I wasn't aware of all the fun when I first got on-line and when I went to a general Buffy board and posted something favorable about Spike I was flamed to hell and back. Someone started telling me how they pitied my life if I could like someone evil like Spike, obviously proving I was totally disturbed and must seek help at once. The weirdest fandom I have ever been a part of.

This was about the time that Titanic came out and one day hubby was scrolling through it and about to leave the site because it was all "Leo is dreamy" or "Leo is gay", and then he saw my post at the bottom about The Usual Suspects. Now this was about 3 years after TUS came out, but we had both *just* seen it on video. He replied to my question, was psyched to find out I was a girl :) and the rest is history! That was early 1998, I flew to Holland to meet him in late 1999, we did the back and forth thing until he moved here in April 2002. We married the end of May and have been married for 2+ years now.
I'm not a big one for fate, but sometimes it smacks you upside the head. If we both hadn't just seen that movie that wasn't even new, if we both hadn't been on that movie site the same day(that I had never been to before), if he had left it a minute earlier from Leo nausea......who knows!

I've never been as major a fan of that show as Angel, Buffy, Smallville and QAF, though I don't know why.. seeing as I love the show. It's usually a sign if I read fanfic about a show, then I'm obsessed with it. :D
Oh and Majandra writes brilliant original songs and she should be allowed to release them as they are instead of record bosses trying to make her into another Britney Spears. (End of babble and minor rant)
