It was very up in the air for a while because the creator kept going to the media saying that they want Melissa back and are willing to work around her schedule, but Melissa was never personally approached and asked if she would be willing to do it. She's always said that she's very proud of the show and would have loved to be involved, but it sounds to me like Amy didn't want to ask and get turned down,so she just kept talking about it in the media and hoping that Melissa would be the one to reach out to them?

I'm so excited that they're filming the revival right now, I hope that it'll be up on Netflix really soon once filming is completed! :D

Yeah I'll be honest that she was not among my favourite characters (Lorelei, Emily, Paris, and Lane!), but she was really an essential part of the show with being Lorelei's best friend and business partner, you couldn't have not even one scene of Lorelei connecting with Sookie in some way
