Chiyoh's character seemed very vague to me, I didn't really get why she was suddenly so protective of Hannibal and killing to protect him, yet she was introduced as someone who Hannibal was manipulating into holding a man captive because she didn't believe in killing. I believe that she's based on a character from the books, but I don't feel like the tv show did a good job of developing her at all

Eh I don't have any strong opinions on it quite honestly, but if I had to choose one then I suppose that Alana has been a bit all over the place since season 1? I liked her the most then anyway

Hannibal and Margo

- The character death that was the worst for me:
Abigail :( Although in terms of gruesome deaths, there are any number of bad ones that I could pick!

I suppose Hannibal and Will is the obvious answer there, the show is very much their story and focused on their relationship, to such an extent that I'm wondering how they would have even introduced Silence Of The Lambs and Hannibal's fascination with Clarice after all the time spend building up his connection to Will. It would seem a little odd for the show to switch focus like that after Will has been billed as a co-lead for three seasons? ETA And I believe that season 4 was going to be an original story, and they weren't going to get to SOTL until season 5, so it sounds like Bryan Fuller has already started making adjustments from his original plan of following the novels more closely

Argh I can't choose four! With Hannibal I even love the protagonists like Mason and Chilton, it's a smallish cast anyway, so everyone has their moments. I didn't use to get the big deal that fandom made over Bedelia though I suppose if I had to pick someone, I found her so cold and closed-off that I couldn't really relate to why everyone else was loving her so much, but then this season I felt like she suddenly became a lot more interesting when she ran away with Hannibal, and then I loved her scenes last episode with Will, so yeah actually I really can't pick anyone I'm afraid *g*

Not a death that ended up happening in the end, but I remember being very worried for Shaz in season 1 when she had her near death-experience.

Oh and that weird relative of Alex's from the first season (it's been too long now, I need a re-watch and a refresher *g*) I always thought that it was really strange how Alex kept flirting with him when the show told us that he had brought her up from when she was a little girl after her parents death....Am I remembering that right? I can't even remember what relation to Alex he was now, but I was not a fan of them in series 1 anyway

I didn't expect to love Ray so much in Ashes to ashes!

Same, I wasn't a big fan of him at all on LoM, but I ended up really enjoying his friendship with Alex on A2A, they developed his character a lot more

Farscape!

John again. I've noticed lately that on tumblr especially the fandom seems to be ALL about Aeryn, and while don't get me wrong she's absolutely one of my fav characters, I'm surprised that there isn't more love out there for John as well

- The character who I do not understand:

Hmm I'm not sure about that one. I guess that I didn't really understand why Jool's and Sikzou's characters were changed so much in the mini-series, Jool never had a crush on John, and Sikozu secretly working with the Scarrans didn't make a lot of sense either

- The character that I think the show ruined:

See above regarding Sikozu I guess, it felt like they completely changed her motivation around from season 4

- The most attractive male and female character:

John and Aeryn

- The character death that was the worst for me:

Honestly I wasn't really that cut up when it came to the big deaths of Zhann and D'Argo because those characters were never my favourites anyway. D'Argo's death did hit me a little harder with John and Chiana's reactions, but I wasn't exactly bawling either. I'd probably go with John's "death" from the mini-series because I was really afraid that they would leave him in a coma to end it

- The character that is the most like me:

Absolutely none of them :P

- The character I think the writer(s) love:

John and Aeryn was where the focus mostly ended up going in seasons 3 and 4? It felt like more of an ensemble piece in season 1 especially, but by season 3 it was more John and Aeryn's story with everyone else in supporting roles

John and Aeryn, can't pick between them

John, Aeryn, Pilot, Sikozu

Zhann, Jool, Naranti, Grayza,

Yeah. Tumblr fandom does tend to go through cycles though, and I think Claudia Black has some heft on the internet more recently.

D'Argo's death hit me harder because I didn't really see it coming? Whereas Zhaan, it felt less of being sad at her death itself, as much as it was to how Aeryn and John reacted to it.

Jool and Sikozu in the miniseries, esp Sikozu's sudden change of heart, just seemed...strange? Like, I can maybe see why Sikozu was made to work with the Scarrans, but Jool just seemed weird and unneeded.

Smallville

I guess Jason Teague lol, I was never sure what was going on with him in the end!

I think that they messed up the writing of Chloe a lot later on when they were trying to make room for Lois as a reporter, it seemed like they started just throwing storylines at Chloe to see what would stick. I wouldn't say that her character was "ruined" for me, but I definitely think that it would have gone in a very different direction if the writers weren't so concerned with not having her outshine Lois

Jimmy and Davis for me, I was really annoyed with how season 8 wrapped up the Doomsday arc

Doctor Who :)

A tie between the Doctor and Rose I guess, they were the first characters that I got attached too with the new series

I never really understand Danny's unimpressed reactions when Clara would do things like call him from a train in space, he didn't seem to have a lot of imagination!

I wouldn't say "ruined" as she still had her moments for me, but I was disappointed with the turn that the writing took for Rose and the Tenth Doctor in series 2, they got a bit too giggly and wrapped up in one another IMHO

Hmm Amy or Clara for female, and for male I'm not sure. Captain Jack I suppose?

Not a death exactly, but I was very unhappy with the way that the Doctor forcibly removed all of Donna's memories of him

Well I wouldn't say ruined exactly as it was no doubt logical character progression, but I was disappointed in how influenced by her grandparent's world Rory became in seasons 5-7. Oh and also Dean, once the writers settled on Jess as Rory's ideal partner, they seemed to only write him in terms of being the anti-intellectual and Jess's opposite

I don't think that GG really did character death's very much, so pass on that question *g*

Probably Rory early on, and a little bit of Michael when it comes to love of dogs and irritable customer service *g*

I suppose Lorelai? They also seemed to have a real fondness for Kirk IMO, and clearly found him to be hilarious comic relief for many of the episodes, while I er didn't

Kirk, Luke, Dean, Zach (poor replacement for Dave!)

I also didn't get Michel. Hilarious character, great actor. However, they gave him the whiny bitchy French role too much for me to really feel his affection for Lorelai, let alone Sookie. Frankly, I didn't even get why he left his established big hip hotel job with Celine Dion checking in to go back to an inn start up in Stars Hallow.

I hate Kirk too though and later seasons!Dean- but I love Luke. I was actually a little affected by Trix's death. Sure, it was her time but I liked her and the funeral ep and Edward Hermann/Richard really made me feel the family loss.

True, Michel was always fun, but I never really understand why he was in the main credits, or why he continued to work with Lorelai and Sookie for as long as he did. It was cute how he got really excited to see Rory again one time though, and was then embarrassed and trying to hide it after how surprised everyone was at him giving himself away lol

And I hated most of the plots that they would waste time on with Kirk, I felt like the show got way too self-indulgent with his character (remember when him and Luke had to appear in towels in front of the town elders?!) I much preferred when they kept GG as a dramedy, rather than going full-on wacky comedy as they had a tendency to do with Kirk. He was someone that should have remained an occasional side character like Gypsy or Miss Patty IMO, but then it seemed like the townspeople comedy became pushed to more and more extremes as the show went on...

I liked Luke the most in the first four seasons as a supportive friend for Lorelai, and I also really enjoyed his father/son interaction with Jess, but his character did not work for me when they paired him and Lorelai off romantically. To me it felt like the show went a little too far then with emphasising their differences, and playing for comedy how grumpy and miserable Luke could be, in episodes like the Valentine's Day at the vineyard it seemed to really be getting Lorelai down when he would literally complain about everything

And Trix's death didn't really affect me that much tbh, but I did appreciate the scenes between Richard and Rory in that episode

Supernatural

I never really understood the Campbell's, especially the weird grandfather wanting to sacrifice Mary's children in order to bring her back from the dead

Not ruined exactly, but I was disappointed with how quickly they wrapped up Bela's storyline once they realised that fandom wasn't responding to her. I think that they could have done a lot more with her character, it was a shame to end it like that, especially as we were only just starting to get her backstory and understand what drives her

Dean, Bela

Probably Sam's in the season 2 finale, that was a pretty brutal one as it was the first time one of the brother's died in front of the other. Oh or Ellen and Jo's death from season 5, that was very effectively done as well

Cinna's definitely, I was in just as much shock at Katniss at him being taken out like that :( There were some tough deaths in Mockingjay as well of course, but they didn't really have the same impact for me as they were so rushed

Oh, I like your answers, and I totally agree, Emily is quite boring at the moment and the only liar without a really CONSTANT love interest. I mean, most of those girls have been with their boyfriends since the beginning :)

Yeah they seem to have given up on Emily and Paige, and her latest love interests have all been pretty lame. It will be interesting to see if she is with anyone decent after the time-jump

The Flash.

I can't answer for The Flash very well as I've only seen about half of season 1, but I'll give it a go

Hmm sometimes I had trouble keeping track of Amanda's motives, the writers seemed to fall into making her almost a cackling villain with insane motives as the show went on

I was disappointed in the Sam reveal, Owen was one of my favourite characters and I missed how sweet and lacking in graces Owen was after they introduced Sam as such a ruthless and smart character. They seemed to fast-track Sam's relationship with Alex in the final season, but I was sad that his bond with Nikita was never really the same, with the early cancellation I just don't think they had time to develop Sam enough

Owen, Alex

- The character death that was the worst for me:

None of the death's were of characters that I was really attached too luckily! Percy's was a shocker, but a great twist for the show, I never cared about Thom, Jaden, and Sean all that much, so I guess Ryan's death would be the biggie for me as it had such an impact on Nikita and the others

I dunno really lol, maybe Sonya? Although even that's a stretch!
