I know! I was kind of bummed at first that the CW ended up picking it up, just because it takes away chances of it being a huge hit and bringing in awards. But they seem really excited to have Sarah as a part of their network, and they are more likely to give the show a chance than the bigger networks, so hopefully it works out okay. It does feel a bit like going back to the beginning
I just read today that apparently Keven Williamson has spoken about having really hoped to convince Sarah to play Rose on The Vampire Diaries, and now I'm kind of sad that we never got to see her on that show playing a vampire, although I suppose it would been a bit of an adjustment for her fans *g*
Aw, that would have been fun. But tbh, the role of Rose probably wasn't good enough to merit her playing it, especially since she basically had to die to be Damon's karma for Lexie and our example of what happens to a vampire when they're bitten by a werewolf.
I suppose it would been a bit of an adjustment for her fans *g*
Seeing Sarah on my screen again is part what is helping with the pain of knowing that I won't see the Smallville actors on my screen in the fall. I hope they don't take as long coming back to another project as Sarah did.
But I'll def. be there to check this out. I really, really hope it's good and I hope it's a huge hit.
I was a bit sad to see it was on the CW at first as well. But at least with the CW they can really make it a genre based show without the pressure of having to conform to what a more general audience outside of genre television might want. Buffy certainly couldn't have been the show that it was without the WB or the UPN. It was too "out there" for mainstream. So I'm hoping that this will be a good move.
Yeah I have to confess I saw hardly any of her post-Buffy films because they just didn't appeal to me, and it was sad to see her still stuck in the horror genre. The only ones I've seen were I know what you did last Summer, Scream 2, and Cruel Intentions while she was filming Buffy, and then Veronika Decides to Die which was a pretty decent film she did a couple of years ago, but sadly only got a limited release and isn't even out on DVD for some reason. And I had been planning to check out Southland Tales, but when it got such awful reviews I gave it a miss..

:nods: There's always the risk of it being canceled after about 6 episodes on one of the bigger networks, and at least the CW will really give it a chance. They seem thrilled to have Sarah on their network, so hopefully they'll be a big promotional push behind the show
I know!! The reflection of her in red actually reminds me of the time in late season 2 around Bewitched, Bewildered, and Bothered a bit actually *g* I think it's the bleached straight blonde hairstyle, it looks really similar to me
Me too :D I wasn't totally sure of the premise at first, but the more I hear about it and SMG being back on my tv screens again, the more excited I get! :D
No problem! At first I wasn't too sure about the premise of the show, but lately I've been getting pretty excited for it and crossing my fingers that it turns out great. The reviews seem promising so far, and hopefully it should get great ratings for the CW because they've said they've already had a lot of interest expressed with people saying they have to pick up Sarah's new show
There's an extended preview out now http://www.wpix.com/videobeta/3cd0f3d2-b0e6-4586-9011-58ba29e95dcf/Entertainment/Ringer-Fall-2011 It's looking like it could be a really good series, I guess my only question is that it seems more like something that would make a great 12 episode run on HBO or something. I'm just wondering how they're going to make several 22 episode seasons out of it once you've got past the initial episodes of her finding out the truth of her sister's life. Hopefully they've got enough twists planned that it will be able to keep running for a while after the first season
