I am so confused on the voting right now. Why does Descent only have 1 vote?! (two including mine, but still). I am horribly confused as to how it's being beaten by Fever and Lucy when Descent had the awesome Clex graveside confrontation and Lex finally killing Lionel with "No one will even remember your name". I thought that most of fandom loved Descent, but then I also thought that Fracture would be more popular too. As it is, it doesn't look like season 7 is going to win any of the rounds now *g*

Nicodemous and Stray won the last two rounds BTW!

I was the other Descent vote, and I think I voted for Fracture too. I've been wondering the same thing. *g*

Seriously! I was literally crying at the end of Fracture I was so moved, and I thought that Descent was an awesome Lex episode that gave us some of the most epic Clex in a while for setting up their future rivalry. And it's not like my flist has a shortage of Lex and Clex fans

I know that season 7 isn't a great season overall, but I assumed that those two episodes would both walk off with their rounds. And season 8 is getting votes (and won one round), so it can't just be about less people having watched the later seasons *shrug*

Hmm I guess that Apocalypse could still do well as that's about the only really strong episode left for season 7, but we'll see I guess *g*

Fracture is one of my absolute favorites. Clark saying goodbye to Alexander breaks my heart.

I like Drone, Truth, Progeny, and Eternal all more than Apocalypse though; I have no idea how I'll choose that round since all four of those rate high among my favorite SV episodes ever. *g*

I'll probably vote for Eternal next round as my sentimental favourite, but I do think that Apocalypse is objectively the better episode (and would be my second choice) so it should do well. I'm finding it harder to predict the voting now though

Drone and Truth are episodes I enjoy, but don't consider to be among the classic SV episodes. And to be honest I'm not that into Progeny. I appreciate the background it gives us on Chloe, and I do absolutely love some of the scenes, but overall it doesn't really come together for me as a great episode. But then it might just me that I'm not really into those type of family background episodes. Lucy is still my least favourite SV episode ever because I find it so incredibly dull (and LOL I do consider Progeny to be miles better as at least it does involve Clark and Lex in a more interesting way, but still). Freak is my favourite Chloe episode from season 6 actually, I did really like that one

I think that Rosetta is the better episode objectively speaking, but Onyx is more entertaining to watch so I also voted for that one. "I am the villain of the story" :D

I haven't voted on any of them because I haven't watched past S6, but maybe some old skool fans are voting, those who haven't seen all of the episodes?

Oh I think voting is biased towards earlier seasons definitely yeah, and maybe some people haven't seen all of the later seasons, but some season 7 and 8 episodes are still getting a lot of votes so I'm surprised at support for Fracture and Descent being near nonexistent.

If you ever do watch an episode from the later seasons BTW, you should totally check out Fracture. It's a really touching episode of Clark going inside Lex's head and communicating with younger Lex

In this round it was hard. I had to go with Rosetta for the Christopher Reeve and insight into Clark's heritage and I loved the familial connection in that one. But Hex was a veryclose second.

For the last few seasons, I've only watched the episodes when they aired. For earlier seasons, though, I've usually seen the episodes a couple of times, so I remember them much better and they tend to get my vote. I'm also pretty bad with names of episodes, so that probably doesn't help matters.

Yeah I think that familiarity is helping the earlier seasons a lot because there are many season 7 and 8 episodes that I've still only see the once

I nearly voted for Descent but changed my mind to Turbulence at the last second. I think Turbulence is one of those hidden gems, under rated because the A story is the Jimmy/Chloe/Davis triangle - buts its the only such episode that I like. And I love Clark and Tess on the plane.

What surprises me about the votes here is the popularity of Stray, which was never one of my favorite episodes. Nostalgia I guess.

I've also been surprised at how well season 1 episodes have been doing in the last few rounds. I find Nicodemous and Stray good enough episodes, but wouldn't rate either of them as classics. And I've always thought that Zero had interesting potential, but end up kind of a mess what with the identical double, and they did so much better with their Lex episoees later on (with the exception of Bound). Plus it was disappointing to see Lex's ~wild~ past after all the stories had build it up as so much more than that, but thenI believe there were rumours that the writer had to tone down her original script a lot
