I tire of being pissed on by A&M, and being asked to do a fucking rain dance over it. And I tire of shippers coming to a LEXANA fan board to make stupid brain-dead remarks.

Oh and she kisses Clark and offers to run away with him, on the morning of the beatiful Lexana wedding that we were so looking forward too. And she plans to leave Lex at the alter, not face to face, but with a note saying sorry.
Then Lionel steps in and blackmails Lana into marrying Lex by threatening to kill Clark if she doesn't. So she makes herself a martyr for Clark, isn't that special Then she cries during the ceremony, and keeps glancing at Clark, then they mope at one another at the limo in the end as she's leaving with Lex. Oh and they're planning to make the baby that we were looking forward too, be some evil scheme that Lex is doing to Lana with some monster freak baby

The ceremony that I was stupid enough to look forward too. And she started crying right after saying her vows. And other characters commented on Lana being trapped in a loveless marriage with a heartless monster.
Lana originally was going to dump Lex with this note, "I'm so sorry. I can't go through with it". And that was all she felt she owed Lex

It was rediculous how Martha was back to saying, go out there and get her, Clark! After he trashed the engagement party doing his me love you thing.
Yes, vey back and forth on all charcters, but I've gotten rather used to it, for the last three seasons, you know, somehow it's gotten to be second nature to just...let it glide by my iris and impact my brain cells without my really being bothered...excellent job of coping, I'd say.

Ha. Who needs that! It's all about the nauseating soap opera that is Clanaville. Just what in the hell happened to the first half of the season? Oy. And what ticks me off even more is hearing that Clana get a kiss (or was it two? Gag) and they cut out the Lexana kiss that was in the teaser. What the hell ever.

Swarming K-site, and Steven DeKnight's blog is something that was avoided, and most of us shippers were staying in our Lexana havens, and leaving the show to write whatever story they want. But then that led to us being treated as nonexistent by the writers and the CW. Seems that jumping up and down in a tantrum does lead to positive ship results after all.

Seriously, I'm now reduced to Summer (re: see The O.C.), and am having rage blackouts over this all over the mother frakin' place. I just - really, we were just shit all over double time and it's not even right or fair. And I can't even begin to tell you how much it hurts me to say that, if this was the way they intended to ruin Lex&Lana - then I wished to fucking god they would have never given us the better moments.
I really fucking hate Clana right now. I cannot even begin to express my outrage and contempt and I'd like to have five minutes in a room with A&M as well as the pesky Clana fans out there - because they'll be mother fucking wishing they could jump off a goddamn bridge when I'm done with them.

Date: 2007-03-16 04:40 pm (UTC)Well, goddamn. They didn't have to wait on their ship for five years, and then have it turn back around to the Clana. Fuck, I can't help the way that I feel. It was wrong and A&M were misleading and they lied. I've learned from the days of Buffy, (re: Tara's death and things said by writers/Joss/others/SDK in interviews), that lying is "not" a necessity, but it's actually a freaking "choice".
And now, I can't even enjoy the good things about my ship, because it led up to all of this. And we won't even get into how I now feel about Chloe and Martha - and that's what hurts me even more. Those were characters to actually "grew" to love in certain ways or another - and now, after last night's episode I am really finding it hard to look at them and try to keep the love and respect that I had for them lately in my heart.
All I see is this Clana crap and all of the fans getting pissed on and then others shouting hallelujah and they're acting like we don't have the right to be upset at all and we're just all out to bash SV with a new form of bashing - hell, it's what I basically got told in another comment.
I hate people.

I visited Steven Deknight's blog, for I don't know why, and the gloating going on there made me ill. And then saying that other fans are acting the same as they once did, when it's not the same at all. Clana broke up in Hypnotic/Reckonning, and then after Vessel, and all through season 6, some shippers were in the blog all of the time shitting on the show, whilst boasting that they never watched. How is that the same as people expressing disappointment in an episode that they just watched? It's not.
And I don't remember any Lexana shipper shouting to the fans "eat it", or invading a shipper board for Clana, just so they could cackle about enjoy the kisses our couple are getting. It's disgusting the way that some people think they can behave

This relationship has been reduced to nothing more than a FOTW plot with Lex Luthor as FOTW (and a pathetic one at that). I want the Lex Luthor back from the start of this season! He is gone and replaced by only a shadow of himself.
The creators basically gave us a 'We don't give a damn what you think' to us Lex and Lana fans.
As for Lana, I really don't care that much any more. I don't even get what she is even around, but to totally destroy Lex Luthor.

You can't have the courage of your convictions when you're the highest rated show on the CW, and tell the network to back off? Of course they could have done that! I do sympathie when Steven DeKnight mentioned showrunners obscuring the path because obviously the Goughlar are his bosses, and he has to do what they they say. But Al and Miles have no testicles whatsoever to do this after they practically danced on Clana's grave last season, and how it was "over forever". Well even before that, after season 3 there was this interview in Dreamwatch:
"Clark and Lana just went from the couple that made you think God I hope they get together to the couple that left you asking yourself God, why are we still talking about them".

So I don't believe for a second that they wanted this. I think they just fall in line with whatever the network requests, and how can I care about a show like that. At least when Buffy and Angel frustrated me, I still had the sense of there being someone with an overall creative vision for the show. All SV has is network bosses thinking what will bring in the most advertising money

And that was after Lex gave Lana a speech in Hydro on fearing that no one would ever love him, and Lana gives his life hope and meaning *bursts into angry tears all over again*
There's absolutely no way I'm buying the season 6 DVDs now. I'm telling everyone I know not to bother watching Smallville season 6 when it starts airing in England. All they care about is the Clana fans. Just recently SDK is promising them cool Clana, Al Gough urges them to keep watching. And any Lexana questions we put to them (in Tv Guide and SDK's blog), we seriously may as well not bother for all the response we get. And now they have ruined their entire show for Clana.

Fortunately, with my current fandoms, the only shipping going on that I don't care for has been all fanfic and not cannon... Even if I see something I don't like, I ignore it rather than be nasty and telling folks they're wrong or whatever. While I'm far from perfect, I do wish others would take this approach of "If you can't say something nice then say nothing."
