I was just thinking about it and depressing myself. Buffy and Angel ended. Farscape pretty much over.

I wish I had internet access sooner so I could have been around to post on shows that I liked and thought no one else did (American Gothic, Le Femme Nikita) because UK tv shows them at a time when most people are in bed already.

There doesn't seem to be any new show that has really gripped people. The fandom people seem crazy about at the moment is Lord Of The Rings and Harry Potter and I'm not into them. I miss how passionate the Buffy fandom was *sigh*

Aww. You're lucky you got to experience the Buffy Fandom though. I never really became a fangirl until SV (even though I was a big fan of BtVS/AtS). I had no idea fandom was so huge; for me, TWoP was as much fandom exposure as I got IRT to those two shows. :T

Buffy fandom has ruined me. Smallville seems so much quieter in comparision, even though Smallville gets way more viewers in the states. (Reverse over here though. Buffy gets more viewers than Friends and ER on Sky, and Smallville isn't that popular). Buffy was so much an on-line thing. I miss all the passionate Spuffy threads where we would either gush mindlessly over spoilers, or swear death to all writers at ME.

I don't know what I'm going to do when Smallville's over. Not to be mean but Buffy really is starting to feel like a dying fandom at this point. LOTR and HP just seem to be the latest crazes, with no one going wild over tv shows any more.

And okay it's 4.45am where I am. Going to bed now...

Can't say I care for the Buffy fandom much. It became far too bitter for me. And while I see Smallville going that way too, it's still tolerable for me.

Personally, I got sick of people ranting about the mistreatment of Spike. Spike is an awesome character, but I find conversation concerning him became far too volatile for peace-loving, little old me.

You used to post at BAPS didn't you? Damn that place got way to bitter. And it actually started as a positive site wanting redemption for Spike. Then it just became a place for people to bitch and moan all the time. But there were more balanced sites out there.

I agree that a lot of people did become bitter about Buffy. But on TWoP everyone is just as bitter about Smallville IMO, as people were towards Buffy.

I loved the shows (BtVS and Angel) but I really disliked the fandoms. There was so much fighting and obsession.

I love Harry Potter too, but the fandom is all about shipper wars, which is totally stupid.

I'm sure Smallville will pick up after hiatus.

I found that when I first came on-line. I was posting at general Buffy boards and all the anti Spike and Spuffy people gave me a headache. The insults got so personal, and I find myself becoming more immature right along with them.

Then I started finding the Spike boards and spoiler threads and that's when I really enjoyed being part of the fandom. Losing the petty arguments and having interesting discussions with like-miinded fans Not with Angel so much, but with Buffy for the final two seasons it was really fun to discuss Buffy with fellow Spike fans. The only Clex boards I post at are TWoP and SoL. Maybe all the Spike boards just left me spoilt for choice.

Do you go to the "Cold Dead Seed" Spike board? It sounds like that's still pretty active.

Reddygirl told me to try that board actually. But when I tried to sign up it wouldn't let me. It was one of those sign-ups where you have to type the words you see. And I did and wasn't recognised. I tried to register a few times before giving up in the end.

I can say something to Tubby if you want. Reddy and CG both post there.
