The first Lexana scene was meh, but the second one OMG! They both looked sooo beautiful. They are really dressing KK to look like a mature woman now (so much better now she's lost the pink, and the alice bands). MR was so wonderful at playing the tortured emotion as the scene fades out *sighs* And wow, just comparing Lana to the whispering pink thing she was in season 3, and she has actually become a cool character *boogles* In fact I thought KK was good throughout the episode, her acting has definitely improved

Lois and Chloe discussion over Martha lol! Allison Mack had the best comic delivery of that line!

And that Clex fight! *squees and dies* And Lex's look at hearing what a great kisser Clark is *dies some more*

The woman seducing Clark looked too skanky though *misses Alicia*

I love how they had to make clear the Clana really is over this time. Adding in "forever" and "for real". Hee! I wonder why they said Clana was still together after Reckoning, and yet there was no kissing or couply moments after that episode. So honestly they might as well have had the break-up stick back then.

"It made me realise that my power to hurt Lana is stronger than all my powers put together"

LMAO! That was a little much.

And I miss Exile Tom! How ripped he was in that phone booth...

:D

And how much did I love Lana and Lex bonding over the difficulties of a relationship with Clark. Aww. Even Lexana is still all about the Clex, and broken hearts from the last boyfriend

I think EXACTLY the same every time i see a scene between Lex and Lana sitting in the couch.

Yes! I am so happy with the new and improved Lana. I watched the pilot episode recently and, just... wow. Quite the dramatic change. :)
Hee hee, how great was the line where Lex said that Clark isn't the easiest guy to be in a relationship with. Eeee!
It definitely felt like the Clana was over. And I actually liked that scene. Very emotional. Good job, KK and TW! And of course, loved the final Lexana moment. Can't wait for more Lexana.

I know. Whenever I watch early episodes, I don't get why KK has to whisper all her lines.

I saw the first lexana scene released as a spoilery teaser, and wasn't that impressed. But the final Lexana *sighs and drools* They have set it up so beautifully. They are even dressing KK to look older now she has more scenes with Lex.

Yeah the whispering made me cringe quite a bit. Thank God she's out of that. Lana was supposed to be sweet I guess, but that was a bit too sweet.
Exactly. Lana has, thankfully, dropped the pinks/baby blues/headband style, for the older, more adult look. And damn does she look better than ever! I love that Lex is the one to help her grow up, and take control, unlike Clark who only kept her in her damned damsel in distress role. Yay for Lexana!

I think there was a theory that she was trying to hide her Canadian accent by whispering? I don't know lol

YOU ARE SO CLEVER.

Tommy is a mountain of hot pudge now. I miss Exile Tom too but a part of me LOVES Pudgy Tom because it's so CUTE. And god, if anyone can pull off that kind of *massive* weight gain, the most beautiful man in the world can. *hart*

You're so right about Lana looking foxy now. If she's gonna be the kind of woman Lex will get on top of, she needs to look like a woman, not a little girl. She's looking good for LEX now, not for Clark, who never really knew her or understood her, he fetishised her from the beginning - she was the perfect girl next door and that's how he still sees her. Lex, OTOH sees a soul mate - the only other person in the world who's had their life devastated by a sexy alien with trust issues. SIGH.

"Mountain of hot pudge.." *snort*
Not sure I agree..he looked a little slimmed down than he did in Aqua, I thought. But he definitely has a more matured, nearly-30, body than he did in earlier seasons. I kinda like it. ;)

I'll miss the Clana, but I'm glad it's over. It was too FUBAR to continue. I sorta hated this episode, but I am looking forward to seeing how they handle Lex and Lana.

Lana is looking better than ever, I agree.

I *really* like Tommy's new curvy look. He looks more human than alien now, it's true (from that POV I can see why frelling's disappointed) but I'm fine with that, because loving Clark is about loving Tom and I hope Tom's happy and enjoying his life and not caring too much about looking like a model and just being not shallow and having fun and being awesome. You know?

I like Lana a lot at the moment. Kristin's doing a great job.

I hurt myself laughing, Kate.

I just call him "Puddin'."

He wiggles and he jiggles...

*hums the rest of the stateside Jello Pudding commercial*

Exile!Clark was *awesome*. But hey, he didn't get the part (aka Superman Returns), and yup, ITA - he's just kicking back, sucking up brews and playing the sweat inducing sport of... *golf*. Sounds like good times to me. *g*

I know, I know. I'll still go see the movie, but I'll miss Tom.

And the body he *would've* brought had he gotten the part.

But hey, he didn't get the part (aka Superman Returns)

But he is still playing the future Superman. I mean, frankly, of course he looks just fine; he's looks like an in-shape, healthy, approaching-30 young man. But I think part of why that look is garnering comment is because he's actually *not* playing an ordinary, in-shape, healthy, approaching-30 young man. He's playing the strongest man on the planet and future greatest hero of them all, and as an actor, part of his job *is* looking the part. It doesn't surprise me that people are looking at the new, kicking-back thickness and going, "Huh. Superman's not really supposed to look kinda pudgy."

Well Tom is gorgeous always *g* He was just really in shape in earlier seasons. In Exile, there was a noticable six-pack, and the kind of physique that fits Superman. Considering how super strong and athletic Superman is, and how he can eat as many pies as he wants, without losing that definition of muscle *g* Luckey Supes!

Alicia's character could easily have been awful, but Sarah Carter really brought her to life.

The guest actresses in Fanatic and Hypnotic are missing that spark

I have to remember that by MR you don't mean Michelle Rodriguez.

["I love how they had to make clear the Clana really is over this time."]

It's over? Really over? I guess now Clarke is going to get together with that Faith-like Lois creature.

Hee, I don't even watch Lost. No opinion on her one way or the other :P

I think they're talking about getting permission for Clois next year, but I don't know yet. I still say they're more like siblings than potential lovers.

I believe they negotiated Lois for 13 episodes, providing there was no romance in Smallville. Because it would clash with comic continuity or something?

"It made me realise that my power to hurt Lana is stronger than all my powers put together"

I'm not sure, I mean, I may have to go back and check the other seasons, but that may very well have been the *single* most unintentionally funny line in Smallville's history.

I love how they had to make clear the Clana really is over this time. Adding in "forever" and "for real".

The "for real" was *hilarious*. It's like they *knew* the audience wouldn't believe it unless they threw something like that in.
