This is kind of random but am I the only one that's bothered by the way David Boreanaz licks his lips in some of the Buffy episodes, when he has an emotional scene? Probably.
And I've been watching my new season 3 DVDs for SV. Watched up to Phoenix so far. I do have some questions though
Exile I loved. Who didn't swoon over Kal *g* All of his scenes were awesome. I loved the Kent's scenes as well. Rewatching it now, the Lex scenes at the island are a little bit too cheesy. And I cannot watch the arms-flapping run without cracking up. Helen's personality was rewritten, I don't know why they had her swanning around with those shopping bags. Hmm. But overall fantastic episode for those Clark scenes :D It's a shame TW didn't do the commentary, I still need to listen to the one they have with MR. Love the ending with Jonathon coming to take Clark home. I generally like the Kent's when they're focused on parenting Clark, it's how they treat other characters than can annoy me. Anyway. I think some people didn't like it all ending with a punch-up, but it was great entertainment IMO.
Phoenix. I loved Lex baiting Helen on the plane, even though her character no longer made any sense. Saying she had fallen in love with Lex, which is why she dumped him off the plane, instead of shooting him. If she had fallen in love, could she not have stayed married to Lex and got on with spending his millions? Where's the logic? I love Lex playing up to her anyway, "You might wake up to find me gone...That's not funny". Heeeheee. It was a little pathetic how easily Helen overpowered him though *cough* And what exactly were Lex's plans for Helen? I know he wanted to unnerve her and get a confession, but on k-site I think it was tigress saying Lex had planned to kill Helen in the plane. Did anyone else get that impression? I don't think they ever really made clear what his plan was there, other than to get a confession out of her.
And hint of woobie season 3 Lex when Helen says she really did fall in love with him. He looks so sad, aww. And I loved him confronting Lionel with the gun, and then the final handshake and hug. Did people ever decide if Lex was serious about reconciling, or just playing Lionel? Because I know he starts investigating Lional's criminal past in Perry and working against his father. But in Phoenix he seemed sincere to me, and when he closed his eyes in the hug *sigh* He wanted his dad's love so badly *squishes Lex*
I also loved the Kent scenes in Phoenix, the welcome home hug from Martha. I thought they did a really nice job in this episode of giving Clark a dangerous vibe around Morgan Edge, suggesting the RedK aspect was part of him. And the Lional/Morgan Edge scenes were great, I'm surprised they dropped it so soon. Maybe because of actor availability? That actor they replaced Edge with in Shattered was just so bland in comparison though. There was something sexy about the original Morgan Edge, and yes okay I do have a thing for older men :p
I remember how excited everyone was on TWoP after the ending seemed to point to clana being done for good. Omar's recap about Lana being "dismissed". We were so naive, so hopeful...
And the shirt-ripping trend starts here. Exile has him rip it off for the symbol twice. Phoenix has it torn off in a fight. Then come off in the water. Extinction will have it ripped off after the shooting. Slumber has naked swimming. Whoo hoo! :D
And CDS is down for me :/

Date: 2005-05-16 04:36 pm (UTC)Umm off-hand I can think of his kitchen confession in Lie To Me. He sort of looks down and does it, it really puts me off. No one else ever metions it though, so it's probably just me...

Date: 2005-05-16 04:43 pm (UTC)Sparklies will likely be coming back in the next few weeks. She's going to be off on leave for a bit, and her husband finally is updating/reinstalling the server.
Big, badder, or whatever.
But us sparklies will have a place to fall. (and will include other fandoms as well. W00t!)

Date: 2005-05-16 04:51 pm (UTC)And with CDS down, I may just have to sit here at work and be hypnotized by Frelling's lovely kissing AVI with the hint of tongue. I could stare at that all. day. long.

Date: 2005-05-16 04:53 pm (UTC)Never watched Buffy (I know, sacrilege), but have you noticed MR has this way of clucking his tongue in a scene where he's amused by something? Only with him it's endearing and not at all bothersome. I'd like to make a vid with all that clucking someday.

I made my most squeerific post ever after that happened. Damn, they suckerpunched us with that.

And ooh what name do you post under at TWoP? I remember people were gloating and thrilled after Phoenix's theme of moving on, and then nearly every damn episode ended with clana that year. Again.

Date: 2005-05-16 05:27 pm (UTC)The commentary for Exile with MR is cool. I really like the scenes on the island, though granted the arm-flapping run does make me laugh.
And Tom is indeed excellent in that ep!!

Date: 2005-05-16 06:17 pm (UTC)But you will see that David has a very active tongue..........I have taken more vid caps of the man with his tongue outside his mouth during interviews. I have quite a collection and plan to one day do a collage. In the meantime check out my icon.
