Wow. I'm not going to FandomWank because they always just piss me off, but I already knew Anne Rice was a nut. Well, I shouldn't say "nut" - I already knew Anne Rice was an untreated manic-depressive. But I'm still surprised anyone that famous lets out their address. Oh, actually Stephen King does, but he lives in a small town - NOT New Orleans!

Amazon.uk has a lot of new reviews making fun of poor Anne now. Paragraphs are you friend, no one is so brilliant they don't need an editor etc etc.

Someone has copied what Anne was trying to say, but using paragraphs so it's more readable. With an apology for editing her work ;)

Actually, writing in huge, rambling blocks of text and thinking you are super-humanly talented are really typical symptoms of a manic episode. I wish she'd take her meds! (My husband was also an untreated manic-depressive.)

Anne says it in her review, when someone said the modern slang Lestat used was bizarre. I was reading her other reviews (the passion of christ film, as well as quite a few religious books) and she might want to consider a spell-check.

The truth is, she refuses treatment because she enjoys her manic phases so much. Apparently this isn't uncommon in that type of illness. So we'll have to strap her down and force the depakote on her.
