Strictly speaking, I'd split up Dark Water and Death in Heaven, because I thought the former was awesomesauce and cared much less for the conclusion, which Is The Way with NuWho finales.

I did debate whether to list them separately or not, but I figured that it made the most sense to pair them together as a two-parter. I really enjoyed both of them though, so maybe I'm a tiny bit biased *g*

Interesting poll and I really loved the season finale.

I loved the finale as well :) And yeah I thought it would be interesting to get a general overview of which episodes were favourites and which ones weren't so popular. So far I'm already surprised that Robots Of Sherwood has quite a few votes for least favourite. For some reason I remember it being pretty popular when it first aired, and feeling a bit in the minority for not enjoying it as much as everyone else seemed too...(I did like the scenes with the Doctor and Robin Hood, but otherwise it wasn't a favourite)

Im quite angry with what happened with Danny Pink. I know it showed his character but still it was a foolish and dumb move on Moffat's part.

I was really shocked that he actually stayed dead, I kept expecting the finale to have a do-over and bring him back

I'm surprised about Robots of Sherwood as I thought I was the only one who didn't really care for it...

Choosing favourites was difficult as I have really loved this season (exception up above), but Listen and Mummy on the orient express where just stellar in my opinion :D

I wish the season wasn't over yet!

Same! It seemed like most everyone was gushing over it at the time, but I guess that it was more of a love/hate episode than I realised. It does have a few votes for fav episode, but it's also the second most unpopular one...

And I loved both of those episodes :)

"Listen" was not only my favorite of the season, but one of my favorites of the series. I loved the unexpected warmth in the middle of all that creepiness.

Overall, I enjoyed the entire season, though. Much better than season 7, which was very hit or miss to me.

I really enjoyed Listen as well, and yes it was definitely a great season! I did enjoy the first half of series 7, but I did feel that they lost their way a bit in the second half definitely

I am all about new writer Jamie Mathieson - his two episodes were glorious breaths of fresh air (Flatline & Mummy)

Both his episodes were brilliant, I really hope they get him writing at least two more for series 9!

My least favourite episode this season was "kill the moon", and obviously I wasn't alone in this if I look at the voting :D

Man I hated that episode lol. Even aside from how ridiculous the resolution was, I find it pretty boring and draggy before then. Definitely my least favourite from series 8

I CAN'T CHOOSE.

Though I know Robots of Sherwood and Kill the Moon are my bottom two, the former because filler and the latter for the nonsense pro-life blather. I really wouldn't throw out any other episodes though.

Don't even talk to me about faves. NOPE.

In conclusion: GLORY SEASON.

Those were my least favs as well, along with In The Forest Of The Night. That one was the best of the three for me, but the pacing did drag in places

And I thought that it would be easier to pick favs if you have three to go with though, instead of having to pick just one fav, which really would have been cruel *g*

That's with David Tennant, right, his last year?? I didn't watch DW until Matt Smith so I can't answer this but (because there is a but) I did see a couple eps with him, same with Christopher and I liked what I saw).

Oh wait... nope... series 8 is actually after Matt Smith... oops... Never mind. Didn't watch.

I have no idea, actually. Probably. I should start with Christopher though, I think.

I got into DW with Matt and really enjoyed it with him. I don't know... Probably, haha!

Really, should start with the beginning, back in the day but yeah...

I loved Matt's Doctor too :) But yeah series 1 is a good place to start catching up as it is a great intro with Rose and the Ninth Doctor

It seems to be a real love it or hate it episode, I think that a lot of peoppe had problems with it mostly because of its resolution, but then the review at Av Club was raving about the episode and awarded it an A grade
