I thought that I would possibly like them more on their own show, which is why I wanted to give the pilot at least a shot, but I just found myself more and more turned off by Elijah as the episode went on to be totally honest. Everything just felt so unearned and ridiculous in trying to be really grand and epic, even though the originals acted like melodramatic spoilt children most of the time on TvD. I can't take it seriously with how seriously the show seems to take itself if that even makes sense
With TvD I was pretty fed up with it last season, but so far there seems to be a bit more life to it with Elena and Caroline at college. I already like it a lot more than the fourth season premiere, so I'm hoping that they can keep it up
