That makes sense definitely. It was weird going back to season 1 and being reminded of how chummy they were all were in that episode, from what I remember Walt just walked out on Gretchen without much of an explanation, but no one seems aware in the slightest of Walt's lingering bitterness and feeling cheated by them? I always thought that Walt probably build it all up in his mind later on. Like it was all good when he decides to sell his shares thinking that the company will fold without him, and then when it becomes the success that it does it burns him more and more as he fixates on how they supposedly cheated him out of his rightful place in the company
