If I ever meet her in person, I'll kiss her just for that. (Well, I might also want to kiss her for all her great performances as Buffy, but then there would be no end of kissing, and Freddie Prinze might get annoyed.)

Hee her expression was so funny when they said they thought she was on-board with the movie

Yeah, I wonder whether she's ever thought about doing comedy. That was a laugh-out-loud moment, and she's got such a mobile face.

I thought she would have been great in comedies after Buffy, I was always disappointed that she got stuck in the horror genre for a while there which didn't give her much opportunity to show off her acting talent. She was hilariously robotic as the Buffy Bot

She did a comedy in recent years, but it was with Alec Baldwin, so it wasn't much use.

Actually, maybe that wasn't a comedy. I don't remember it all that well, because I've been trying to forget it.

I adore the expression on her face there. However, I shouldn't have read through the comments, because statements about how liking Spuffy is equivalent to approving of rape make my head hurt.

Molly-May, I love your cave-Buffy avie. Gellar's performance in that ep was hilarious.

Thanks! This icon was made by [livejournal.com profile] ruuger, who has made many awesome Buffy icons.

I love SMG in that ep. She is so delightfully funny.

My respect for Sarah doesn't extend to agreeing with her opinions on things Buffy. After all, she hates spuffy and ships B/A. A Buffy story that claims to be part of the tv canon but is without SMG (the comics) is a way dumber idea than a non-canonical Buffy movie without Joss. Somebody needs to tell her she's a way more essential part of Buffy than Joss. I couldn't care less about the Buffy movie. I might watch it, but I'm neither enthusiastic about it nor bothered about it. It's a reboot, so it doesn't threaten the real Buffy. Unlike the godforsaken comics.

Well they didn't ask her for her opinion on the comics... *g* Who knows, she might not be that into them either

I know we differ on her thoughts on a Buffy movie, but it makes sense to me that Sarahw would dismiss it. The movie can't use anything from the (successful) tv show so it's going to have to be based off ideas with the original movie which was a huge flop. And I don't think that the original premise (young girl discovers she is the slayer of vampires) is automatically a winning one, it was the quirky dialog and the plots that Joss brought to it that made it a hit, but without Joss I think it's likely to be just as camp and silly as the original flm was

["it was the quirky dialog and the plots that Joss brought to it that made it a hit,"]

It wouldn't have been a hit without Gellar's performance.

and who picked her, pray tell? Not to mention cut the Buffy part to measure for her?

I've told you before fpb, I've no interest in having a discussion with you and I consider anything you say to be invalid. Please have the manners to leave me alone.

I had no idea, and I still have no idea, who you are supposed to be. If I ever met you before, it slipped my mind - evidently you weren't interesting enough.

And it's not that it threatens the real Buffy no, it's just expressing that it's kind of a dumb idea.

But then I don't think the comics threaten the show either really, I know Joss says they are canon for him but most fans haven't even heard of them so I've never considered them that big a deal. They're there as an extra season of the show for those that do want them, but then even Joss says he would drop them as canon if he ever did a Buffy movie

There's still people who insist that everybody treat them as canon and the real story. And officially that's what they are. Which annoys the shit out of me.
