Date: 2011-02-08 04:45 am (UTC)Chlollie remind me more of the Warrior Angel episode a little bit actually (well except without the love interest turning out to be a kid this time :P) With Ollie being a hero in Chloe's life, brightening things up for her and helping her to appreciate the good side of life again. Thinking about it, even Davis was originally introduced to us as a hero paramedic wanting to help people, and there were some parallels being made with Clark there, only from the opposite/evil side
It's really only Jimmy that doesn't fit that pattern of Chloe being attracted to heroes

But you know the idea, billionaire playboy fall for small-town girl, it seems so Lexana (clasic chick flick formula). And I think Oliver treats Chloe like Lex did Lana, so devoted (can I have one like him?)
TBH I think Chloe easily fall in love type. If you love her then she love you back. Clark accept her love for weirdness, Jimmy and Davis adore her, and Ollie well who wouldn't melt when he smile like that. I even think she had crush with Lex long time ago, LOL. I only ship Chlollie (originally Chruce, but in my eyes SV Ollie=Bruce) but I can see why people multiship her. She just lovable :) and open a lot of possibility for storyline. Too bad, the writer reduce her role just to be Clark girlfriday.

Date: 2011-02-08 02:20 pm (UTC)That's why I think it's kind of funny when fandom says that Chloe fans are hard to please because the majority of us didn't care for Chimmy, or because so many of us ship a non-canon ship like Chlark. If anything Chlark gets multi-shipped tons by fandom, but it's not like the show ever offered Chloe much of a love interest over the years otherwise. I practically fell over in shock when Davis come out with "You're hard to miss" because Chloe never got that sort of interest from a guy before, even Jimmy was drooling over Kara at the same time as dating Chloe

I still think that Michael is miscast mind you, but Alex and Nikita are both pretty awesome. And I kind of like the Michael/Nikita ship still heh, even while not totally buying this version of Michael as all that tough. But the partnership between Nikita and Alex is my favourite
There's already some fandom drama in that fandom actually, it caused some upset recently when Shane (who plays Michael) spoke out against a Michael/Alex ship as being kind of creepy, and the two main shipper groups in that fandom are Michael/Nikita and Michael/Alex so yeah some fans really weren't happy with his comments and predicting a drop in ratings because the all-mighty Shane expressed his opinion :P
