Urgh I know, the fic that I discovered had been locked today, there wasn't even the option of asking to be friended as the LJ owner "isn't adding people at this time" :/
It's fic being written under a LJ username, it's hardly personal details or writing under your own name, so what's the big deal about leaving it public once you've already put it out there
