Crimson opinions, many shallow opinions
The first Chlark scene at the party was adorable, Chloe looked great! Aww, loved Clark's "you're the only person who can make me feel guilty, relived, and a little sad all in one sentence"
Loved Lana asking Chloe to be her Maid of Honour! There's been some great scenes for those two this year. I didn't find Lana particularly manipulative in that scene, more saying she doesn't expect Chloe to share if she really doesn't want too, just stop outright lying to Lana about it and pretending the secret doesn't exist.
I enjoyed the Lexana tackle in the hall, but I guess I build it up in my head as more than it was, after all the gushing on the Lexana boards. They really do seem determined to have Lexana kiss as little as possible. That...bothers me. Lana's statement of love in the nursery was the perfect opening for that scene to end with a kiss, and I wish we had got one freaking kiss in an episode concentrated on the Lexana engagement, instead of it being Clana kissing *grumbles* Lex was adorable in the Mr Duck moment though, Lana should have jumped him right there!!! Michael was terrific in that scene
I didn't understand Lois's decision to put on the lipstick at all, that wasn't very plausible. And why did they play porno music when Lois arrived at the Kent's OMG! Tom was adorable at playing nervous Clark in that scene, hee at him running away as soon as Lois's back was turned *g*
Clark in the leather, was way hotter than I was prepared for. Loved his outbursts, especially what he said to Martha. So well-deserved!!! I thought his insulting Chloe was un-called for, but it was sexy the way he whispered!
I also really enjoyed the Clana barn scene. I loved Kristin's performance in that scene as she tells Clark what she thinks of him *applauds* Lana running to hug Lex, and then hiding behind him for protection from Clark, looked really pretty, and that Lexana scene looked even better than I was expecting :D
But I will never understand why Lexana supposedly lack chemistry, because Lexana kisses, are only about a thousand times hotter than that Clana barn kiss. Okay personal opinions differ and everything, but seriously
Fine if they want to make Lexana dark, and Lana torn betwen Lana and Clark or whatever, but what's wrong with giving us some more sexy scenes *pouts*
Most of the Clexana scenes this season have been really lame so far, but the Clexana from Crimson was actually pretty entertaining. Hopefully a good sign for how they'll handle it in future. Loved the Clex confrontation referencing Vessel and the Pilot. And I found Martha rescuing Clark pretty sweet, but then I've always been sappy over scenes like that *g*
I don't get the heat between Clois, when we barely saw anything going on. Yeah it was nice to see Clark having fun with his powers for once, cracking a smile, and twirling Lois around. But there's just Clark on redk. I know I'm biased :P But how were the kisses hot? The twirling was fun and cute sure, but the kissing? Meh. The camera hardly focused on them for more than two seconds at a time, before cutting away. But then I never got the Hydro kiss pursed lips as anything special either. I was wondering if they were going to go with Clark getting really into kissing Lois during Crimson, he seemed more into a piece of paper.
Chimmy doesn't seem over for good, so much as just taking a break, so I wonder if the writers later plan to get those two back together?
And the Lexana nose nuzzle would have been cuter, but Lana didn't look very into it :/ I did like the final Lexana scene though, it was quite creepy and gothic. Lana's outfit hmm. The nursery as well, they do seem to be setting Lana up as the new Lillian maybe? I swear more interesting developments have occured with Lexana since Fragile, than happened in six years of Clana loft scenes.

I just wish they could have indulged the shippers a tiny bit, and allowed Lexana to kiss in an episode focused around their engagement *whines*

And thank you, cause I thought I was the only one who thought that the music on the first Clois scene sounded like music from a cheap/bad porno movie. I asked my sister who thought that was a good idea. She laughed and said I was crazy.
I'm not feeling the Clois chemistry/heat either. I think some of their scenes were cute and funny, but I just wasn't feeling any heat. I kind of had the feeling that someone had all these great ideas of scenes for Red K Clark cutting lose, but they kind of just stuck Lois and Clark in the scenes without writing/blocking/working them out so that they felt organic. They were off to me.
I've been wondering why they never show Lexana kissing either. It's very odd to me. And there's definitely some heat there that is being wasted.

Crimson was the perfect chance to indulge us because there were Clana and Clois kisses to keep other shippers distracted *g* And it was an episode focused on the upcoming wedding y'know *shrug* So I was expecting a kiss at the wedding dinner (instead they're not seated together grr) at least, and they could easily have ended the nursery declarion on a kiss. At least Lex will kiss the bride on their wedding day. I hope...

I found the Clois scenes very cute and funny, but not really hot like, say, the Clark/Alicia honeymoon scene. I am totally hotness-deprived with this show! *stares longingly at the Wither kiss some more*

Date: 2007-02-03 05:37 pm (UTC)It's the whole thing about it being the opposite of Clark for me as well, because Clana were sex-free after Mortal and Hidden, so I was always expecting Lex to keep Lana satisfied. And okay I saw the animation on the boards of Lex pouncing on Lana, and I was being ungrateful there, it was totally cuter than my first impressions (where I had overblown the moment in my head perhaps lol). But it still annoys me when they barely even touch in many episodes
What's wrong with one scene of them being overwhelmingly attracted to one another, and falling into bed? Other than the Wither sex where it was almost occuring for a plot point (and yeah, maybe me being ungrateful again, I certainly wasn't complaining at the time hee).
But I was wondering if the proposal scene would see Lex grab Lana for those type of kisses, but alas *g* Even while I adore the Static kiss, and the sweet kiss on the bed from the episode that I can never spell :P I do feel a bit miffed that we haven't seen any truly passionate kisses since Wither and Zod. Zod type kissing is something we should be seeing more of, with Lana really getting underneath Lex's skin!

But he doesn't seem to be getting as much screentime lately anyway. Even in Justice (a Lana-free episode) there wasn't that much of Lex working on his evil plans

Plus the line in the beginning (which I also saw) when Chloe says that the love of your life can be just around the corner..or something and Lois walks in. Thats when I turned it off. I knew it was going to be horrible.

Date: 2007-02-03 06:39 pm (UTC)Clark didn't seem that into Lois, even as lust, so I don't think they're setting up a romance yet anyways. It was just the usual anvils, without being backed up on screen all that much. We really didn't get a clip of them both getting into the kiss especially, it was more Kal just ripping Lois's shirt to get his end away, and lots of twirly action. And even that lost its appeal pretty damn quick.
So I don't think they were playing it as the two of them being destined lovers, at least not in action, just in word. If that makes any sense. (Otherwise the kissing would have had more of a "Oh my" response IMO)
