Ack. Why do award shows (and Jonathon Ross used it too) always feature that clip of Rose being sucked into the void

It's such a rubbish and OT moment

I'm not sure that the beach scene (also often used in those clips) represents the show well either, but the acting was good there, so I can understand seeing that clip so often I suppose. But why don't they occasionally use say scary clips from TIP, clockwork robots from TGITF, the wolf from T&C, ASH from SR, or maybe the Doctor and Sarah-Jane?

Just to mix it up a bit, good grief. All of the NTA clips used were from Doomsday, and one of them was just Ten messing around in his glasses..

Well that's depressing :/ I get using the beach scene for Billie Piper's acting award at NTA. But for the drama nomination, I wish they could have found something a bit cooler.

Rose won't even be around next year! They could have promoted the scary and adventure moments as well. And I just hate non DW fans (like my Mum!) watching that stupid void clip, and thinking DW is cheesy and OT crap with outstretched arms and wind machines *sighs*

I agree, they really should be playing up the action/adventure stuff seeing how the shippy will be gone next season.

Dude, absolutely.

I'm rare in DW "fandom" in that I don't 'ship the Doctor at all [I believe that by his very nature, he's in it alone and he'll constantly change as will his companions, by the very nature of the thing] and I honestly hope that with Martha we get back to that.

Maybe I just got burned by 'shipping the Doctor with Saran Jane back in the day ;-)

ugh I agree they overuse that so much, I think they do that for the doomsday clip too, but it's such a great scene for showcasing Billie's acting abilities.
