Spoilers for Wither
I didn't see any chemistry in the Chloe/Jimmy making out scene at all. I was pleasntly surprised at how jealous Clark seemed of Chloe/Jimmy! I was expecting something subtle, but the way his face just *fell* when Jimmy walks in after he asks what Chloe was doing. The scene even ended on Clark's sad face. Why he didn't tell Chloe in Zod that he liked the kiss I don't know *insert eyeroll here* I liked Chloe/Jimmy more in the hospital scene I guess, I thought Allison was very cute with the "your girl?" response. And the final ambulance scene was sweet. But I still think the heat is missing.
I can't get over how beautiful Allison looks this year. Love her wavy hair :D Why is she living in the Talon though, must be a 3 hour journey for college and The Daily Planet every day. Oh and I liked Chloe saying Lex wouldn't even be on her list hee *is not a Chlexer* :P
"Do you want the job or not". What kind of way is that to address prospective employees? And I thought Lois was kind of rude to tell Oliver to find a better job, but then I don't see how it was Lois's blunder to send him away. Why didn't Martha just tell Lois she was expecting Oliver Queen, Lois does work for her still.
I'm not sure about Lois/Ollie yet. I didn't hate or love them especially, although the final scene between them was pretty good. Love love love the Lex and Oliver scenes though *drool* I think they might become a new ship for me. Yes, another one *g*
Loved how Lex handled Lana, he's so smooth *g* This episode had the perfect Lex. During Lexana, and the Clex scene *bows down to Lex* Now that was Lex Luther taking charge! Love seeing the Clex have a change of scenery, instead of in darkened mansion and barn. And I loved Clark's final look at Lex in that scene, Tom was awesome there. “So naturally you’ve come to my little shop of horrors to foil my ingenious plot to repopulate the planet with vegetation.” LMAO!
Loved Lana's face at Lex not signing up for a threesome with Clark. (Yeah right, like he'd say no). And Clark playing with his ball when Lexana have sex! Slow motion Lexana at the costume party!
Loved Lexana holding hands! Loved the discusion on happiness. Perfect song! Perfect outfit! Perfect chest! Lana removing the armour, and Lex finally something approaching happy *squee*
Next weeks trailer: Umm I really like Oliver Queen and all, but does every trailer now need to be focused around him?

Eeee! Definitely my favorite part.
*squee!* I loved them holding hands the entire time. Staying connected. The banter between Lex and Lana was cute, and... naked backs. Hot kissage. Stripping. Hotness overload! Sigh. The Lexana was just... perfect. All of it. I still can't get over it, I just loved them. They definitely exceeded my expectations for the episode concerning Lexana. *g*
And to the trailer - yeah, seriously. Oliver Queen is cool and all, but... How about featuring someone else in the trailers next time, eh?

Date: 2006-10-14 01:51 am (UTC)And yes, I heard about people interpreting it differently, some thought Clark seemed happy for Chloe/Jimmy, some thought he seemed jealous. So I was expecting it to be more ambiguous. That's why I was really surprised at the focus on Clark being uncomfortable in that first scene, it didn't seem seem subtle to me that there's something about Chimmy that he's not happy with.
I'm a shipper so biased anyway lol but I think that, connected with the kiss aftermath in Zod, Clark was more than merely uncomfortable with being left out. Although that was an aspect as well. I think it's interesting that, as opposed to Clexana and Lollie, Chimmy is the ship where the other guy is actually a nice guy and no need to warn him off/be concerned for Chloe. Yet Clark is still being all supermope over it

Date: 2006-10-14 04:04 am (UTC)I think it's reflecting badly on Lex to keep bringing up Lana in the Clex scenes. He did the same thing in "Oracle", and he did the same thing last night. It's making Clark look more mature in the scene, IMO. Clark only brings it up with Lex if Lex initiates it.

And season 6 is just wow. Lionel was always saying Lex let his emotions rule him. And now we see him in his confrontation with Green Arrow, or with Lana or Clark, and no hint of woobie Lex to be seen. That is the future Lex Luther :D

It feels like the people who like that pairing the most are Cloisers, like they'd pair Chloe off with anyone so long as it's not Clark, lol. But I think they're really cute, and pretty sweet as it's Chloe's first real dating relationship. I guess I feel that it's a good step towards Chloe finding what she really wants out of a relationship, which ultimately isn't a guy like Jimmy.
I thought that costume ball was dreadful. Like, I was embarrassed that it included Lex/Michael Rosenbaum. But I did get a kick at the Lex/Ollie moment, for little other reason than Lois and Lana were completely forgotten and it was just about the guys.
