I've actually never seen the original films :/ I half wish they hadn't gone for a sequel. I'd have loved this film to have Clark and Lois's first meeting and develop the beginning of the romance for their characters. I mean in SR they don't even end up together! And there's just the one fly and almost kiss to explore their chemistry. And with Clark and Lex not having much of a connection either...
I guess they did want to show his isolation though
As for KB, I was on the fence about her at first, but later on she came across as pretty feisty.
Yes, at the beginning my attitude was sort of hmm. But then when you see her on the phones and everything, and Clark swept aside by her, I thought she seemed very Lois like
