Yeah I agree, I posted more thoughts on the season 7 premiere in my comment above, I felt like the premiere wasn't really great for Diane yet again unfortunately. She didn't get much of a plot, and I was also a little bit annoyed with her being lumped in with David Lee and the other senior partners as being out of touch to new ideas, I never got that sense in the past when she was so excited about getting to start from the bottom again with F&A
I don't mind a focus on Alicia, I just wish I felt like they still knew how to use the ensemble cast properly :( Seasons 1-5 were very Alicia-centric as well, but at least then it felt like other characters had their moment to shine, but they've barely been giving Diane and Carey anything to do for ages now, even though you'd expect the show to have more time to spend on them if anything now that Will and Kalinda are off the show
