Michelle Gomez was perfect as the Master, by far my favorite iteration of that character. I'm sure she'll be back (and pissed that the Doctor was all set to kill her at Clara's command) and I'm really looking forward to it.
I liked so many things about Danny, but his attitude toward the Doctor, especially at the end of this episode, was definitely annoying. Chill the fuck out, man, he's trying to SAVE THE ENTIRE PLANET here!
I'll have to rewatch this one alone. Watching with my boyfriend usually forces me to keep my emotions under control, because I don't want to cry over television in front of him, but I did tear up a little at the way the Doctor delivered the line about hugging. And his reaction when looking Gallifrey was so intense! I really love Capaldi in this role.
That entire last scene, I was shouting at Clara, "Just tell him! You're pregnant with Danny's love child! Admit it, Clara! Admit iiiiiit!" I guess there's always the Christmas special...
