It doesn't sound like she chose to leave, does it?
I personally think Lois should be leaving (I don't have hate for her like you ;P) but it doesn't make sense for her to be around so much.... they are playing around with the Superman mythology way too much now! If Lois knows Clark too well now... it just doesn't make sense to me.
As for Chloe... I always thought they'd kill her off but... not now! I'm guessing that's what they have planned, right?
