the character i least understand: It would have been nice to get more background on Michel, he was in the title sequence for 7 years, yet we hardly ever saw him outside of the Inn!

interactions i enjoyed the most: Lorelai and Emily, Paris with anyone

the character who scares me the most:

the character who is mostly like me: Probably seasons 1-4 Rory

hottest looks character: Logan, Rory, Lorelei

one thing i dislike about my fave character: Sometimes Lorelai rambled a bit *too* much, she did not know when to shut up :P

one thing i like about my hated character: Kirk did have a good heart

a quote or scene that haunts me

a death that left me indifferent: I can't really think of any major deaths?

a character i wish died but didn’t: Lane's husband maybe lol, I would have liked to see her reunite with Dave!

my ship that never sailed: I know I'm in the extreme minority, but I would have liked Christopher and Lorelai to make a go of it in season 2

You know, that's actually very true. As much as I adored seeing Michel and Lorelai with the Inn shenanigans, I did wish we had more of Michel as a character, as you mentioned he was basically a regular and yet treated like just another recurring character.
