Friending policy: My journal is f-locked. I usually friend back, but be aware I have low tolerance for fanwank. Post any kind of hate about a group of fans and I am gone. Discussions of problems and meta stuff is fine, hate or superiority isn't.
Anything else: I was hugely into the show when it was on, through season 6. I kind of dropped out of watching S7. I am doing a full series rewatch and can see why I stopped in S7, but S8 is awesome so far. I was actually surprised how solid some of the early S8 episodes were. I am up to episode 11.

I vaguely recall watching the first couple of episodes of season 8, but then that was it for me, so I'm excited to catch up with the later years properly now with my full series rewatch. I don't think that I gave season 6 a fair chance when I was younger tbh, I was so confused at why it was a comedy every week all of a sudden, so I got stuck on the mindset of it just not being the same. In retrospect though a lot of those comedy episodes were among the best that the show did, so I'm looking forward to seeing what I think of season 6 this time around on rewatch

Favourite episodes of The X-Files: Ack, too many to name! Pretty much all of the mythology two- and three-parters, and then the obvious favourites. I generally prefer myth > MOTW though.
Any favourite characters or ships: Mulder/Scully. There are others?

Any other fandoms: Fandoms not as such, except Stargate (SG1, SGA), and Harry Potter. But there's a lot of stuff I love: ER, Hunger Games, Orphan Black, Arrow, Good Wife, Fringe, 30 Rock, Parks & Rec, costume drama, and anything sci-fi really. SCI-FI IS THE BEST.

Any favourite characters or ships: I'm a Skinner/anyone shipper,but I'm not fussy. I don't dislike any ships, I can appreciate the benefits of pretty much all permutations of this show.

Favourite season(s) of The X-Files: season 2 and 3, definitely. (I admit being partial also the the "virtual", non-complitely canon even if Carter worked on them, comic book season of X-Files).
Favourite episodes of The X-Files:clyde bruckman's final response, post-modern prometheus, and my favorite, the host- it game me nightmares and it made me thrilled about the show. (I think it's the first episode I saw of the show back then..)
Any favourite characters or ships: gotta admit that I shipped Mulder and Scully like Crazy right from the start. and I was a child only back in the day I watched season 2. But I also had a strange thing for Skinner/Scully and John Fitzgerald Byers/Scully.

Anything else:As I said, I really don't mind the last two comic book seasons of the show, mostly because, maybe because of Carter's involvement, they remembered me of the shows. And because they took things said in the shows and should have been resolved and never were properly (Flukeman. I loved him. I did.) I'm not such a pourist to say I didn't see I want to believe, 'cause I got it in DVD and I watch it at least twice or three times a year, but, well, let's say it's more a"lifted eyebrows" sort of things. a bit like season 7 and the last one, when I watched it and wondered it it really was the same show that used to keep me up at night because it gave me the creeps...

I used to post at TWoP back in the day and I think Jessica was the best recapper they ever had and nothing made me giggle like her X-files recaps. I even followed her to other writings for a while after until I realized our common interests ended at X-files (she was into fashion critique and I... wear pajamas whenever possible). I never was brave enough to write fic for X-files and, really, I wish I had, but I seem to have this thing for writing for shows that disappointed me --- as if that will ever take away the pain. :/
