OMG, this looks so good! Okay, I expected it to be less dark than Daredevil, and it doesn't seem to be the case after all, but it works much better for me than the DD trailer did.
Squee I know, he's so great on The Good Wife that I can't wait to see him as Luke Cage :D
And if anything the reviews I've read have suggested that Jessica Jones might be even darker than Daredevil, apparently the Purple Man and his mind control is used in a very dark way
Less dark? Seriously? Where would you ever get that idea? Alias was one of the darkest comics I've read from Marvel. And the Purple Man is probably Marvel's most terrifying bad guy.
Me, too! For a second i thought it *was* (the actress is familiar, but I have no clue...... OH! Thank you, IMDB. She played a character in 'The Last International Playboy', which is a movie i like. Ah ha. :) ).
Ohh! I didn't think I would have looked at it, but yay! Now that I've got Netflix here in Italy as soon as it comes out it's gonna be MINE! (also becaiuse I'm a Tennnant enthusiast. Doesn't matter oif he is the bad guy here). Also: mind powers are introduced in the marvel cinematic universe!
I was already interested because of how much I loved Daredevil, I can't get into the Marvel films at all tbh (or even popular shows like The Flash for that matter), but I loved how gritty and real-world they made Daredevil, so I'm looking forward to seeing how they handle JJ
I love the contrast, I love the Flash because it's all hopeful. And I love Daredevil because it's so damn gritty.
It's why I'm so annoyed with Superman vs Batman, I honestly don't get why they'd make a movie like that, and then don't bother to use the contrast between the two, where one is all light and hopeful and the other is dark and gritty.
Oh you should. The character he's playing, Zebediah Killgrave aka the Purple Man, is one of Marvel's most horrifying villains. I personally don't think they have a single character that's more evil and more terrifying than him. Sure they have bad guys that have killed more people, caused more gore, or have done a lot more physical damage but the psychological horror that he causes is beyond the usual blood and guts stuff. If Tennant can bring even the slightest bit of the chars creepiness to life, it'd be worth it.

Never even heard of that show, or that it was in the making *lol* Either way: Doesn't really look like something I'd enjoy, but you have fun :D

Tennant is brilliant at playing creepy characters. He's absolutely horrifying in Secret Smile.

Nice that both Ritter and MR both moved onto better things once their sitcom was dropped.
