Breaking Bad's ending got me sooo hyped :D

I can't decide if it's just about giving Walt the push to go after the Nazi's to get his money back (seems to be the most likely?), or if he's planning to go after Gretchen and Elliot as well? I really hope they come up again in the finale and we find out once and for all what the backstory is there. The charitable donation was an understandable PR move, but them saying that Walt's single contribution was the name actually makes me wonder if Walt was more right about them than I ever believed in the past. I always assumed that it was Walt's ego talking when he claimed that they screwed him over, but now Idk. It's weird that they co-funded the compay with him, yet they expect people to buy that he contributed nothing but the name? They could still admit to working together years ago without being connected to Heisenburg's drug empire surely!

And lol at the beginning of the season I was assuming/hoping that Walt was going back to save Jesse, but somehow I get the feeling that's not going to be happening now :P I think I've been burned out on the Jesse torture now tbh :( For so long I was really rooting for him, but now I just want to see him be put of his misery. I can't see any last-minute rescue coming...Jesse is pretty much dead to Walt, just as Jesse was never going to come back from finding out that Walt left Jane to die, Walt doesn't exactly seem to be having any last-minute pangs over handing Jesse over to be tortured to death. I guess that their scenes in 514 were it for them

And woot Breaking Bad won the best drama Emmy and Anna won best supporting actress :D

ETA Okay wtf, half the comments in this post have suddenly disappeared?! I don't know if it's some weird LJ glitch or what, but in my defense I'm not just randomly talking to myself, there were LJ comments from other people there originally *g*

I still think Walt saves Jesse, just not intentionally. In a Walt-takes-out-the-nazis-Jesse-escapes-in-the-action kinda way.

The Charlie Rose segment, I don't know if it was a completely about setting Walt off and they won't play into it or Walt goes after them. The whole segment seemed to be about erasing Walt's contributions. They mention the blue meth is still being made and they say he made no contributions to Gray Matter.

I have hopes, but I really have no idea how it's going to play out. All I know is Jesse is soooo friggin' killing Todd.

At first I assumed that Walt was going after them, but now I'm thinking that it was probably just about giving him the push to go after the Nazis. I would love if there was a confrontation with Gretchen and Elliot as well though! If they have time for all that in a 50 minute episode anyway :P That final scene was just perfect for bringing everything full circle, I always figured that Walt was coming back to rescue Jesse or something to do with protecting his family, instead it's all coming down to Walt's pride in the end when he's lost everything else

And yeah I was thinking that Walt was done with Jesse, but thinking about it he probably is going to come across him in the finale when he goes after the Nazi's. It will be interesting to see if Walt does have any feeling left for Jesse and the condition that he's in now, after how much hatred he felt for him in 514

Maybe Jesse will escape during whatever Walt has in mind, and runs off to look after Brock?

Yeah, I got nothing...*g*

You never know! It could be a decent ending for Jesse if he got to take care of Brock in the end, that could be the thing to help him start getting invested in life again, after he was giving up when he was on his own

Well, I've seen a promo from the finale, I think so Walt and Jesse at least have a scene together.

I kinda think they sort of team up to take out a common enemy. Walt gets his money back, gives it to Jesse to give to Skyler and some for himself.

The whole episode of Granite State was about them being imprisoned. Walt in NH, Jesse by the Nazis, and Skyler by the cops.

It has to come full circle to 5.1. Live free or die. I kinda think Walt frees the other two with Jesse escaping and he'll take all the heat off Skyler by going out in a firefight or committing suicide.

The ricin will be for Lydia, Gretchen and Eliot, I really think.

Yeah I suspect you're right there.

Can't wait till next week. :D

Man, I'm so torn about Jesse. I want him to get away, but what does he have to live for at this point? He's been physically and emotionally broken, probably beyond repair. Death might be a good ending for him. Although-- I can see Walt taking out Jack's crew and Jesse getting away in the chaos, and then perhaps Jesse shooting Walt himself.

Honestly I never rooted for Andrea and Jesse to get together as much as everyone else did, because I never quite brought Jesse's feelings for her being all that strong, I think it was more about wanting an instant-family with Brock. With Andrea dead as well now though it does feel like he really has nothing. Even before finding out about Jane's death, he was already a complete emotional wreck at the beginning of the season, and I can't see prison doing anything but messing him up worse. At this point I'm just expecting him to find sme way of getting revenge against Todd or Walt and then dying? But idk maybe Vince will have him survive after all as the less expected ending, they've been piling so much misery on Jesse recently that I think all the viewers have given up on hoping for a happy ending for him, so that would be a big surprise if it did happen!

And I would love if there was a big confrontation between Walt and Jesse in the finale, but 515 just made me wonder if that was going to happen as they both seem so completely done with each other and focused on other things

Oh, I never really cared about Jesse/Andrea either. Even if she were still alive, and Jesse made it out fine, he sort of already left her for her own good (which, in this case, I think was warranted) so I wouldn't have expected to get them to get together again. My happy ending for Jesse was just alive and out of the business. But he obviously cared about her, so to have her killed in front of him as a punishment just broke him.

I kept hoping for Jesse to make it out right up until season 4, but ever since Todd killed the little boy in front of him it just seems like Jesse is so eaten up with guilt that he's never going to be able to move past it :( Even if he had taken the option of the new life that Saul was trying to set up for him, I wonder how long it would have taken before he ended up OD'ing or something through sheer self-loathing. He was practically catatonic at the beginning of this half of the season and, just when you think things can't get any lower for him, Vince finds a way to break him just a little bit more...

It's about time!

I mean, the Emmy of course, not your post! ;- )

Heh yeah, I had a feeling that Anna would win this year, but it was a nice surprise for the show to win as well

It's weird but I absolutely have no idea what I expect to happen next week. This week surprised me a little bit I think. I like how so many episodes this season feel like they could have been an ending, though.

[identity profile] frelling-tralk.livejournal.com 2013-09-23 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah at first I was thinking it would be a clear-cut scenerio of Walt taking on the Nazi's, but now I'm really starting to wonder just how many people Walt is planning to take on

[identity profile] sum1-different.livejournal.com 2013-09-24 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
Game of Thrones should have won best drama, but they're just prejudiced against the fantasy genre.

[identity profile] frelling-tralk.livejournal.com 2013-09-24 01:31 pm (UTC)(link)
I haven't seen Game Of Thrones, but I'm happy that Breaking Bad won finally because it was getting a bit ridiculous that it has all this critical praise and the actors getting nominated, yet there'd been no awards for writing or best drama

See Game of Thrones. It's the best show out there. Classic HBO quality.

Have you thought about checking out BB btw? I think that you would really like it if you gave it a chance

[identity profile] sum1-different.livejournal.com 2013-10-05 04:57 am (UTC)(link)
I've watched most of the first season. It's good but it's nothing on Game of Thrones. It's not really my kind of show. But Bryan Cranston is great in it.

I can’t believe Jesse is just going to be left to rot. Like, if that is how his story ends, I am going to burn all of my Breaking Bad DVDs, lol.

[identity profile] frelling-tralk.livejournal.com 2013-09-24 01:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I know! It's going to be really depressing going back to watch the early seasons knowing that it all ends in Jesse being physically and emotionally tortured and then possibly death, it was already depressing me watching happy go lucky Jesse in the recent season 1 flashback
