A video with all the tv references to Buffy! Wow, there were a ton more than I realised

I just watched a little bit of that video but I'm on my phone so when I'm laptoped up again in the morning I'm so watching it all!! The first couple were awesome, especially the Will and Grace one!! Thanks for sharing!!

They seemed to have every single reference ever which was pretty impressive. My favourite was the clip from The Big Bang Theory when Leonard is trying to convince Penny to watch Buffy, although they skipped my favourite clips from that episode with her actually watching Buffy with him and the theme music playing in the background (she didn't care for it much though sadly :P ) Oh and of course the Farscape reference when John is getting upset at the thought of Buffy The Vampire Slayer being dead by the time he gets back to earth!!

Hehe! My favourite bit is the look on Scorpius' face when Crichton mentioned Buffy!

Lol I loved that too, he was so bemused by Crichton at times

I was saying in someone else's LJ that he shouldn't have started Penny off on season 1! I get the feeling that something like Surprise/Innocence with the bad boyfriend morning after would have appealed to Penny more

yes; she's clearly had a few of those herself.

Now when I watch first season I just adore it, but at the time it took me a little while to warm up fully -- now I love the Master but at the time I thought he was cheesy. (I remember I did not record the show to keep it at the time, and then had to scramble through fannish samizdat when I realized how badly I wanted tapes of first season!)

Yeah I enjoy season 1 more now than I did at the time because it's nice to go back to that place of innocence with the characters, but I can understand why it wouldn't have dated well for someone who is starting off with season 1 for the first time. A lot of it seems like quite traditional horror with the Master terrorising his minions underground, it's really the arrival of Spike and Dru in School Hard that first shakes things up a bit IMO

Wow, that really shows how Buffy permeated popular culture! (I feel like there was another shout-out on SPN that wasn't included but can't pinpoint when it was...)

Spike and Dru changed everything, and did a lot to turn a pleasure into an obsession . . .

You've never seen Spaced? It's such a great show!

I was surprised too at just how many there were! With SPN I remember the WWBD reference with the ghostbusters, but I can't think of any others right now
