That’s kind of where I’m at, I just don’t think a regular detective show would grab me without Rust’s character to bring something unique to it. I did love Marty when he was around Rust as well though, some of their conversations in the car especially were so hilarious with Marty’s down to earth frustrated responses to Rust’s grand philosophising. It was mostly around women where he just started to become too much of a sleaze to me after a while, I think it was episode 6 where I hit my breaking point with his character, but then I softened to him again after he and Rust reunited in the future timeline
