Yeah I think they struggled with how to plan out a shorter season, it was obviously a pretty huge change from the old series with 22-25 episodes per season, and the mythology episodes usually being two-partners. They don't really seem to know what to do with the mytharc these days anyway, so I'm happy to keep it with more MotW's for season 11 instead
