Angel wasn't making any kind of justified stand at the end of his series, he was taking a huge and pointless risk just so that he could feel like the ~champion~ going out in a blaze of glory
Is that still unpopular? I never cared for the end of AtS for that reason. So much of the show revolved around him searching for a connection to the world, a family. Yet in the end it's dumped and he starts a war in a populated area out of spite because "the fight".
