It's definitely looking like they've put a lot of care and attention into every aspect of the show, hopefully it will pay off :)

I agree, when it comes to favourite books of mine, I often feel like a tv mini-series is a much better format than a 2/3 hour movie with a condensed story would be. I'm cautiously excited to see how The Stand will turn out as a film trilogy for example, ditto with It, but I can't help feeling like you really need a mini-series (preferably with the budget of a cable network like HBO) to really do every aspect of the story justice
