Seriously, he was on earth a day and completely forgot about Raven.
It was strange to me because it came across like the writers didn't actually see him as sleazy, they wanted to portray all three people in that triangle as just inadvertently caught up in a really bad situation, but I mean it's not like he started falling for Clarke in spite of himself, he was very definitely on the prowl as soon as he got to Earth. It really made me look at him differently when we found out that he was involved with Raven, just because it came across like he never gave her a second thought or had any kind of moral dilemma over sleeping with Clarke, but the show still wanted us to see him as the good guy of the group somehow anyway? Bellamy>>>>>>>>>>Finn for me lol, it feels like the writers have a much more honest view of his character
I mean I felt the same with Jasper I guess, with Jasper it again felt like he was a favourite in the writers room and the writers really like him and want us to root for him to find his confidence etc and cheer on Monty coming to his rescue, but I just really disliked him when was bigging it up at the camp and dismissing one girl as "low-hanging fruit". He came across like he had a real attitude problem, and I never liked him after that. Monty's sweet though, I hope that he sticks around
I don't think anyone knows why Kelly Hu disappeared after episode one, but she never comes back.
Well that's too bad, I was really pleased to see her face after she had already made an impression on me as Pearl in The Vampire Diaries (but then I was partly excited about Abby because I remembered the actress from American Gothic lol). It seemed like Kelly Hu's character was being set up as Abby's friend and as a fairly important character, so it was odd for her to just vanish with no explanation.
I love love love Bellamy and Octavia's relationship. They're so wonderful and that keeps up in season two. Lincoln and Octavia were a bit rushed, but I really adore them together.
Aww I'm glad, I really like those two. And I did like Lincoln and Octavia more once they became a couple and were trying to bridge the two sides, but I felt like a lot of groundwork was skipped over before they became as close as they did.
Actually to ramble on about the Grounder's for a bit, I felt like it would be very easy to sympathise with the Grounder's if you watched a show from their PoV as they were the ones already living on Earth when these invaders set fire to their village with flares, or started building bombs to blow them up. I didn't always agree with the way that Clarke acted like they were just defending themselves and the Grounder's were the only ones in the wrong, it was especially a bit much when Clarke was lecturing Anya (just remembered her name!) on how could she take children into battle with her, even though the girl's life was only in danger because of the bomb that Clarke's side set on them!! I'd be interested if season 2 spend more time on The Grounder's and showing the audience more of their PoV, it seemed a bit one-sided at times in season 1, but then maybe I'm biased as I really liked Anya's character
