With Rory it didn't bother me because we saw him interact with the doctor and Amy, and then make observations about how the Doctor makes other people want to be braver and take risks, or how he doesn't want to travel with him if he's not going to check out the dangers in advance. That was all fair enough, but Danny gets my back up because he just seems to go on tirades on the Doctor being a general and 'Lord' who's treating other people as soldiers and wants to be saluted and addressed as Sir, even though that's the exact opposite of who the Doctor is as a person. He ran away from the responsibility of beng a a Time Lord, he turned down the offer to right wrongs with his own personal army, he hates the military and people saluting him, so it just comes across as Danny knowing nothing about the Doctor and taking out hs own issues on him

I do get protective of Peter Capaldi's Doctor, I can't help it *g*
