Something about him became really off-putting for me in season 4, what once seemed noble and different just ended up feeling self-satisfied and pretentious :( 12_12_12 didn't help with that lol, because the more I read the smug interviews with the actor, the more it started bleeding through for me with his choices for Elijah and how ~above it all~ he likes to come across.
