I've called someone for help with spyware on my computer that I can't seem to get rid of, and he's coming out to look at my laptop on tuesday. This will sound weird, but I hope he doesn't want to take it away with him for a closer look lol. I get kind of paranoid over things like that because of what a private space my comp is for me and how much time I spend on kink memes and the like *cough* I always wonder if they really do poke around the computers that they get send to fix? Oh and I've also been wondering if it would be worth asking if I can update to Windows 8, I'm on Windows Vista at the moment. Anyone on my flist using Windows 8?

And meme taken from my flist

I used Windows 8 on my sister's computer and hated it, lol.

People have said it's annoying to use, but I don't know if it's worth upgrading anyway as people say the same thing about hating Windows Vista.

From the very small amount of time I played with it, it just seems to have a completely different look (how the windows pop up and toggle). You can probably find screenshots or even vids about how it's different.

People did hate Vista, but it didn't look that much different from XP, IMO.

I think the biggest problem with Vista, 8 and every Windows installation since XP is they put it on computers that aren't powerful enough to run it and anything else.

My comp was supposed to be pretty high-powered when I brought it, but then that was about six years ago now :/

Same, but by the time you load Windows, anti-virus, and a browser, all the resources are more or less gone. Unless you have a 64-Bit machine and 4gb of RAM at least, I wouldn't even try running 8.
