Yeah I liked Gale, but it was a bit ridiculous almost that we're supposed to be judging Walt for his poor decisions in cooking meth, yet hardly any viewers seem to hold Gale accountable or see him as anything but this sweet and innocent guy. Which yeah he was sweet and naive, but he was also cooking meth and using his own crappy justifications for that, so it's not like Jesse went out and killed a totally innocent person
Really both Walt and Jesse sacrificed a lot for one another at the end of season 3, I'm always amazed at the number of viewers who just focus on how cruel and unfair it was of Walt to ask Jesse to kill someone. Walt made it clear that he was happy with the status quo under Gus and feared going up against him, yet to protect Jesse he ultimately risked everything. And he was ready to outright kill Gale too when Jesse really didn't want to do it, but in the end things got desperate and they both did what they had to do :shrugs:
