This is bound to please, well, not only fans of the TV show but anyone whose dead sceptical anytime rumours pop up suggesting a feature film of a cult TV series is in the works (because such rumours are usually piss and wind).

“Dead Like Me”, the popular TV series starring Mandy Patinkin and Ellen Muth, is returning in the film of a film – albeit a film that’ll only be available in DVD Stores.

MGM tells us that Stephen Herek (“The Mighty Ducks”) has been roped into directing the new DTV “Dead Like Me” film. At this stage, there’s no word on who’ll be starring in the film – but hopefully they’ll stick with the original gang.

The series told of a Georgia (Muth) a young woman that is regrettably killed by a toilet seat and forced to work as a grim reaper.

Squeeeeee! *dances round the room*

Hmm...I'm skeptical. Just because all though the show was axed before it could really reach the heights of its potential, but at the same time we got enough closure in the finale.

Besides, if the original cast isn't there, I highly doubt I could watch it. They just worked and trying to imagine anyone else as Mason, Rube, George, Daisy and Roxy? Just...not happening.

I don't think they will recast, but the cynical part of me wonders if they will work more on getting the actors for George, Rube, and Mason back, and consider Daisy less important because a vocal number of people disliked her. But *sniffs* she's one of my favourites (George, Daisy, and Rube in that order), they'd better get her back! Then the Daisy/Mason ship can happen maybe *happy dance* I hated how it was left in season 2, when you just knew that it was being set up for season 3 to do more with it

Ya I totally disagree, there was definitely something to be said about the Daisy/Mason ship I just don't think we could get the proper closure we need with them if she doesn't come back.

Doesn't give her much credit to say she was least important. If anything I'd say Roxy - not because I don't love her because I DO - but she never really got her own storyline, so if you're going to mess with someone you have to take someone with the smallest arc.

Really hope Mandy isn't too busy with Criminal Minds to do this project *G*
