This is an rather O/T rant in response to your comment, but I suddenly just wanted to say this :P

I hate so much that they cut the wedding scene from Scare. Firstly it was brilliantly acted and directed, and we were cheated not to get it as part of the episode. It was much more personal to Lex, when it comes to dealing with characters worst nightmares. It really was so unimaginative to reuse the Hourglass footage, especially as that then messed with the premise that Lex didn't know what Cassandra saw in Hourglass *sighs*

I remember the original spoilers were that Lex would be getting rejected by Lana in the wedding dream, so there was much rejoicing and spec it had been cut because of fan response hee. But I'm guessing the network stepped in at the last minute, and made them cut the Lex/Lillian wedding :/ Oh well, it's canon for that episode as far as I'm concerned anyway *g*

Oh, yes. Both the acting and the directing in that scene were amazing. And it was/i> more personal to Lex and added a lot more to his history. Plus I always thought it would have tied in better to Lionel's comment to Clark in 'Bound' regarding the women Lex picks up reminding him of Lillian.

I understand to some extent why they used the 'Hourglas' footage, Lex not seeing his future but fearing it because of what Cassandra saw and the effect that had. But I do think the deleted scene would have had a more powerful impact.

And yeah, I think you're right that the network probably had a hand it that scene being changed :/
