Wow, that's a little...unexpected. Though I can't say I'm entirely displeased. Or surprised. They probably want to make the show align with the film more.

Ack, I just hope they won't kill her off and martyr her and use her to propel the destinies of Lois and Clark and Lex. That's my biggest fear.
